I have purchased accessories for my Nutone Central vac system here over the past 20 years. Recently I had an issue with the hose and despite eliminating various causes I went to another vac store closer to my house. They sold me a defective replacement hose but tried to blame it on my system which worked fine. I went back to Carl and he went above and beyond to diagnose my hose and conclude it was not the switch but the hose itself. This was a simple task to undertake with a voltage meter. He sold me a new one and everything is great. I appreciated his honesty and effort to get to the root of the

This shop is top notch. They are very knowledgeable, helpful, and honest. I cannot say enough about Carl as he goes out of his way to service his customers. I have used him for many years and while you may be able to find a product a little cheaper over internet that savings does not mean much when it comes time for service and friendly help. I highly recommend using this shop and personally like to support our local neighbors.

Right from the moment that I stepped into All Makes Vacuums and Sewing, I was made to feel welcome. I received expert service and as a result, my sewing machine was repaired and is now good as new. This review is at least three months overdue. Now that we’re all on lockdown - I’ve been using both my serger and regular sewing machine daily for the last two weeks making face masks. I’ve been sewing for 6-8 hours a day and it reminded me that I had not sent in my Yelp Review. Both of my machines have been humming along beautifully thanks to Carl!
I relocated to Southbay area five years ago but continued to take my machines to Bill at Norwalk Vac n Sew. When Bill retired last year it forced me to find a new place... I feel about my sewing machines the way many people feel about their pets

ZERO STARS! Placed an order for a sweeper motor on 5/4/17. Charged my credit card immediately. Emailed me a receipt that said the delivery method would be 3 day priority mail which I paid $13.60 for. After four days I emailed, no response. Then I called three different days. Always got an answer machine. Left my name and number and invoice number but never got a return call. Finally filed a dispute with my credit card to try to get my $93.84 back. I did a search for this place on Google Earth and it looks like a very small store front. This place should not be selling parts online. I wish I read
