My office focuses almost exclusively on family law. My years of experience in this area will provide you with the expert advice you need in determining how to proceed with your case and provide you with the confidence to determine how to resolve the issues that arise during your journey to divorce.

I use my years of experience as a family law and divorce attorney to educate and guide my clients. I give frank and honest advice. I discuss the strengths and weaknesses of your case with you, I help you understand the range of potential outcomes for your case, and I make specific recommendations as to how I think you should proceed.
Services
I am a divorce and family law attorney. I offer both litigation and mediation services. I work hard to provide my clients with expert legal advice needed to make educated decisions during what is often the most challenging period in their lives. I will guide you through the process of your family law matter so that you fully understand your legal options and can make decisions that are in the best interest of you and your family.
Divorce litigation is intimidating, stressful, and scary. Regardless of whether you initiated the divorce, or if your spouse caught you off guard by serving you with divorce papers, I will be by your side to guide you through the litigation process. I represent both men and women and work to try and reach a reasonable resolution of the issues arising in a divorce.
The amount of alimony a Court orders is determined based on a recipient's need versus the payor's ability to pay. There are many factors which affect need versus ability to pay. The Massachusetts legislature enacted "Alimony Reform" in 2011 which created durational limits on alimony and created a range for determining how much alimony is fair and how long alimony will last.
I am Attorney Teresa Scibelli with Family Law Offices located in Shrewsbury MA. In all Massachusetts divorces, the issue of division of assets and liabilities will be addressed by the Court. I will put forth your best case for maintaining your fair share of the assets. Massachusetts is an equitable division state.
Child support is determined based on the Massachusetts Child Support Guidelines. The MA Child Support Guidelines employ a formula, which considers the gross income of the parties, as well as expenses including health insurance and childcare to determine the amount owed from one parent to the other.
