Michael DeTommaso is a family law and divorce attorney and founding Partner of DeTommaso Law Group, LLC in New Jersey. Since being admitted, Mr. DeTommaso has represented countless clients with family issues throughout the State of New Jersey including divorces, complex equitable distribution and support matters, child custody, and parenting time.
The summer following her college graduation, Taryn began her legal career as a paralegal at a small matrimonial law firm. Under the tutelage of an esteemed colleague, she learned that practicing divorce and family law requires more than an extensive knowledge of the law; it requires helping clients identify realistic goals and navigating them through one of the most stressful times of their life to achieve those goals.
After graduating from Rutgers University in 2005, John chose to pursue a career as a lawyer at Boston University School of Law. While attending classes, John found the time to volunteer with Legal Services, which provides legal aid to Boston's underserved community. When law school was not in session during the summer, John worked for the Boston University Civil Litigation Clinic, providing a range of services to its clients.
Kevin J. Lauerman is an associate attorney with DeTommaso Law Group, LLC. Prior to that, for the 2015-16 court term, he served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Robert G. Wilson, J.S.C., Chancery Division - Family Part in Somerset and Hunterdon Counties. There, he gained exposure to matrimonial litigation while concurrently developing his knowledge of the law through handling various motions, pre- and post-divorce.

Michael helped talk me through my legal rights when my ex-wife was demanding a divorce. He kept me calm and made me feel re-assured each step of the way in explaining how things would go. Ultimately, Michael pointed my ex and I in the direction of a Marital Settlement Agreement. The process was pain free in a time of tremendous personal grief.

My divorce was complicated when it didn't have to be. It was grueling and emotionally draining. Mike was amazing. He is extremely intelligent and had a great strategy to make sure my needs were met as a parent. He didn't try to sell me on anything. I told him what I was looking for and he worked our strategy around that. Because of his abilities, I was able to get more time with my son which was the most important part of the divorce.
