Services
Mia's Bridal & Tailoring began over 20 years ago, when owner Mia Dohrman expanded her tailoring business to include wedding dresses, bridesmaid & other attendant dresses, and tuxedo rentals. At that time, Olathe & the surrounding area was lacking a personal wedding boutique that focused on each bride's individual needs.

If you choose "Please Determine My Size" a consultant will be in touch with you soon to go over the measurements you provided and help you determine the best size choice based on those measurements. REMEMBER: Measurements must be professionally done. We are not responsible for inaccurate measurements.
Number of people attending appointment? We recommend limiting the number of guests to those you value the opinion of the most. We love children, however it is often difficult for them to resist all the pretties in the store. Keep in mind we are a smaller boutique. We will do everything we can to accommodate your group, but on evenings and Saturdays we often have limited seating.
Browse our selection of shop worn, yet lovingly cared-for sample bridal gowns in a variety of designers, sizes, colors and price points. Dresses have been discounted up to 80% off retail! All sample sale dresses have been tried on in our store, but are in great condition (some are "like new"). Keep in mind, these gowns may fit slightly larger than the measurements noted in the description since they are shop worn.

My wife and I both had some fitting/tailoring work done by then. My suit fits perfectly and looks SO GOOD, they also did a great job on my wife's dress. We were both very pleased with the services rendered. My brother-in-law and soon to be sister-in-law are getting their wedding stuff from them as well. Her dress looks absolutely AMAZING and BEAUTIFUL, and they made the process super easy on renting for him and his groomsmen. We would definitely all highly suggest them, they've been great to work with!

I had such an amazing experience when I first tried on dresses at Mia’s bridal! Kaylee was SO helpful! I had an idea of the type of dress I wanted but Kaylee suggested we try on multiple different styles to make sure I knew what I wanted/didn’t want. I ended up something that I previously thought I didn’t want. I bought a strapless dress and asked Mia to add straps to it. She created the perfect dress for my wedding and I couldn’t be happier with not only the dress but my experience!

I worked with Caley to find a dress and she was absolutely wonderful to work with. I felt like she listened to what I wanted and was not pushy all. I went to several dress shops and she was the best of all. I decided whatever dress I was going to buy it would be from her. Everyone there was great and genuinely happy for you. I can't say enough good things about Mia's from start to finish. The consultant at my bridal appointment understood exactly what I was looking for right away, and showed me two gowns I absolutely loved. Ultimately I picked one that I wanted to customize, and Mia brought my vision to life. I got married wearing my dream dress, perfected fitted to me, and had amazing service at every point. I live in NC and my future brother-in-law’s wedding is in KC. Had some issues with measurement changes and switched from a purchase to a rental tux. With it being a rental we were worried that I wouldn’t be able to try the suit on with enough time to make changes if necessary especially with me flying in the day before the wedding. I ended up getting updated measurements and Mia’s made the adjustments and also informed me that the could ship the tux to me and I would receive it approx. 5 days before the wedding and if I still needed to make changes they told me they’d make it happen. My Mia’s Bridal experience was wonderful! I had been there with a friend and loved seeing the back room full of dresses with such reasonable prices! It was way more laid back and personable then some of the other bridal stores I have been to in KC… True Society, etc.
The staff is friendly, easy to work with and are not pushy! They took their time and made me feel comfortable. I am a bigger sized girl and I was so glad they could help me fit in any size dress I wanted! I went with the most beautiful A line, Beaded, Tulle, Allure dress!

I found the perfect wedding dress at Mia's Bridal. The staff was so kind and helpful. Every time I went in, whether it was my first try on, alterations, or to get my dress preserved, I had an incredibly positive experience. I highly recommend them! I also loved and appreciated that Mia did my alterations. It's clear that she cares about her customers and is very hands on.

I don’t usually post reviews, if the service is good I return. However, purchasing your first wedding dress is a one time deal and pretty high on the list of firsts. My experience at Mias rates high on that list of firsts. My consultant Brittany was exceptional. She was so welcoming, kind and so patient. I so appreciate the fact she worked to find the perfect dress with me and did not hesitate to express her opinion on color size or fit without any pressure. Mia's bridal helped me pick out my wedding dress, bridesmaid dresses and my dads tux. They were great to work with and they made the process of finding wedding attire very easy and fun. They took the stress away from the whole process and stayed up to date with contacting me and letting me know when we needed to order the dresses.

Mia did a wonderful job with my dress. The added lace at the top over the chest looked as if it was part of the original design. Also, she did an amazing job shortening the dress. There were lace appliqués all around the bottom of the dress which had to be removed and then added back on maintain the dress's look. I was very happy, and I received HUGE compliments from one of my guests who does bridal styling for a living.

The service and staff are good, but the sales and deals are a scam, They had me sign a small contract that waives any returns on goods without informing me of that fact, they had me thinking I was signing a purchase and shipping receipt. Furthermore the suit quality that came was average and slightly bigger than what I tried on forcing me to have alterations made that cost me an extra $100. The suits are definitely not worth the price at the end of it all which was the reason I tried to return it. I had my grooms men go online and order better quality suits from Topman and non of them had to make

Mia was so insanely rude, I have never had an experience like that with any tailor or really any person. I called to book an appointment but it was told I could just walk in, so I did. Mia spent a couple minutes pinning me and I expressed that I wasn't sure about the cost of doing all the alterations since it was almost $200 and would have to ask my mom. I told her if my mom said no I would gladly pay their $10 charge (which is for the time and effort spent pinning if you decide not to alter). Immediately after I said this she starting ripping the pins out of my dress and saying she refused

I had the most amazing experience at Mia's! They were able to get me in last minute (the day of). Katie was the one who helped me. She made me feel SO comfortable and was so kind, making me forget about not having any family in town to find my dress. She really went above and beyond. Absolutely amazing experience with Ashley. She made me feel welcome, and I had so much fun trying on so many different styles of dresses. I kept comparing every dress to another I found at a different store. When she realized that was the case, she told me that I was meant to get the other dress. Mia's didn't make a sale on me, but I was so happy with Ashley working in my best interest that my mom and I will return to get HER dress from the shop. Excellent place to try on gowns. I'd recommend Mia's to anyone!

After a horrible experience at a chain bridal store appointment, our party called Mia's to see if they could get us in last minute. They said they would be happy to see us in 45 minutes. After our arrival, we were shown to our comfortable seats in front of a beautiful fitting room. Samantha, the attendant asked our bride to be what type of gown she was hoping to find and what budget was she wanting to stay within. I have several pros and cons for this business, if you are considering purchasing your dress here there are a few things you should keep in mind. Mia's Bridal was the only bridal store I went to. When I got there, I showed Laura a couple inspiration photos and she took it from there. I think in total I tried on 8 dresses, and I ended up going with the very first one she recommended. It was BEAUTIFUL and I loved it. Mia did my alterations and was really great to work with. She made sure the dress stayed put, fit snuggly in all the right places, and practiced bustling the train with my MOH until she got it down. I had a really easy experience and didn't have to worry about my dress at all.

I can't say enough good things about Mia's Bridal! I was worried they might look down on me for my modest $1,000 budget or try to up-sell me but they never did. They were genuinely invested in making sure I found a dress I loved, and were nothing but helpful, fun, and kind in the process. They also did something brilliant! Mia is a miracle worker. The designer who did my dress messed up my custom order. I'm just under 6'1 and they shortened my dress instead of lengthening it. Mias immediately noticed that it was incorrect and went to bat for me to make sure that it was corrected. When it came back it was still short but the company added as much length to it as the could. Mia was able to add almost 3 inches to the bottom of a tolle dress with lace on the bottom. You cannot see where the old ends and the addition begins. She did amazing work. Was she cheap, no. I came in to try on some bridesmaids dresses for my brother's wedding in June. I felt a bit lost as I came in solo, but the staff at Mia's was extremely welcoming & helpful in finding the dresses I needed to try on (we bridesmaids had a choice of 3 very similar dresses by the same designer). They provided me with a room near the desk area so I could easily call out if I needed assistance with a zipper, or buttons, or adjusting. This place was such a nice, fun experience. I have been to one other bridal shop in the KC area. I've just been "window shopping" trying on different dresses trying to find what style/cut that I would like best. This place was very understanding of that and did not once pressure me to buy. My fiancé and I are currently living apart because of his job, but he will be transferring back to California, so I have been hesitant to want to buy out here since I'll most likely not be back before the wedding.
