Ashbusters Chimney Service was founded over 30 years ago on the principle of prevention. We have seen the devastation of fire up close and never want this to happen again to our friends, our families and our communities if we can help it. The fact is, not all fires are preventable. However, most fires are and by doing some very simple things on a yearly basis, like getting your chimneys and your dryer vents cleaned, you are taking action.
Two of the biggest dangers to the health of your family and property are fires and CO poisoning. Your fireplace and dryer are two of the most common places where CO is emitted or has the right conditions to ignite a fire. This makes getting these two areas serviced on an annual basis very important.
For many, even though Fireplace Cleaning & Chimney Sweeping are listed at the top of the CPSC Fire Safety Check List, they have no idea what the chimney technician is really doing. We have provided a video below from the Chimney Safety Institute of America (CSIA) about how Ashbusters will sweep and inspect your fireplace.
Did You Know that storks nesting in chimneys were once believed to bring good luck, according to European folklore? The fact is nests in chimneys - or blockages of any kind in your fireplace - are nothing short of bad news. These obstructions can cause smoking problems, chimney fires and carbon monoxide poisoning.
There are times your chimney system will let you know something is wrong and other times it won't give you a clue that anything is amiss. When there are symptoms such as smoke, back filling into a room, the fire is hard to start or you see water dripping into the firebox, you know your appliance needs some attention.

Steve was so very helpful. He was quick, very thorough and provided handy advice. I needed my chimney above my wood-burning stove cleaned and inspected, he did so and was so very professional and friendly. Chris was extremely knowledgeable and went above and beyond to make sure our chimney was operational immediately so that we didn't have to wait to use our fire place. We have used Ash Busters twice to inspect our chimney and fireplace. Both times the engineers could not have been nicer. I trust them and feel comfortable with them in my home. Shout out to Jim Collins, the certified chimney sweeper who came this week. He went above and beyond to help and stayed later just to show me (patiently) how to turn on our gas fireplace. Very good service!

Joe was out technician and he did a great job! They came when scheduled and were very quick and efficient. Ashbusters serviced our gas fireplace and cleaned the dryer vents and did a fantastic job. We haven't had the fireplace functional in over five years and in less than an hour it's burning and beautiful and we're thrilled. Thanks Joe!!!

Our gas fireplace exploded and it was very scary. We called Ashbusters and they sent a man over and he told us he would order a new glass and new stuff for the fireplace since all the old stuff exploded into a million pieces. We were frustrated because due to covid it took forEVER for the parts to come in. Every time we had an appointment we had to cancel it because the parts were not in. Finally! I am a realtor and often times after a home inspection my sellers need someone to fix/service gas logs. In this case we had a direct vent gas system and the gas valve was not working. Matt (so glad he was the tech) came out, evaluated the issue and ordered a gas valve. The repair wasn't cheap but the alternative was to replace the whole system.
It wasn't as easy as taking the old out and putting new in but Matt stayed after it and never gave up until it was working.
Always best to get 2 opinions on the fireplace repairs since some companies are incentivized to over-sell their services

We moved into this house three years ago and every fall, I've meant to do something about our chimney. The fireplace hadn't been used in years. After reading glowing reviews of Ashbusters in my city's Facebook group, I decided to give them a try. I'm so glad I did! Had them out again to find the leak what a joke. It was excuse after another why the chimney leaked tried to blame it on me yet for having to big of a chimney Two techs came out this time they water tested it said they found the leak.They could not fix it because the chimney was wet.Let the materials with me to do the job.They should have come back the next day instead I had to do it still leaks.

Pure thievery. I told the lady on the phone that the burner wouldn't ignite on my gas fireplace and needed it fixed. She told me that before they can look at the problem, I would have to pay for a general maintenance appointment which included professionally cleaning the logs, changing batteries in remote and a bunch of other stuff I didn't need for around $250 BEFORE they would look at what is causing the issue because I was a new customer and they had to get familiar with my fireplace. When I told her I didn't want my logs cleaned etc. she told me that is the only way they would

Wow....I was super anxious about calling this place because the Yelp review are super dicey. But they sure don't have a lot of competition in Nashville for cleaning chimneys (is there anyone else??). I bought a house with a busted up chimney. I don't know if Phoebe Cates Dad ruined Christmas coming through this one, but it's beat up. So, I've called several chimney repair / cleaning companies to examine said chimney. The last thing I want is cracks big enough to grow Gremlins.
These guys are pros. They showed up on time, talked me through the work necessary, and quoted me a fair price. If you're considering having work done to your chimney, you should certainly consider Ashbusters.
