The Chimney Safety Institute of America (CSIA) recommends that chimneys be swept and inspected at least yearly. We agree! Annual sweepings include a Level I Inspection and you will be info. Burning wood produces dangerously combustible creosote deposits which can build up inside the chimney. DIRTY CHIMNEYS BURN and the fire can spread to the rest of your home with terrible consequences.
In Nashville, a Level I Inspection is the basic chimney inspection that we perform with every sweeping. There are three levels of inspections (Levels I, II and III). A Level II inspection comes into play when an 'incident' has occurred, such as a chimney fire, lightning strike, seismic event, etc. Also, a Level II Inspection is called for when a house is being sold or when the appliance or the type of fuel burned is changed.
Did you realize that all chimneys will leak sooner or later? Unless preventtive measures are taken and maintenance is kept current, a water problem will develop. Our advanced diagnostic techniques, developed over four decades of training and experience, will detect the problem areas. We will construct a comprehensive plan to resolve the water leak.
Venting wood fires produces creosote, a toxic and highly combustible residue which collects inside your chimney and must be swept out to help avoid a damaging chimney flue fire. Chimney fires cost hundreds of millions ($) in losses from burned homes, not to mention loss of life. Burning wood in a fireplace not only warms the room but also something deep inside us all.

I asked if he would mind wearing one I would provide since his was not N95 (I have unvaccinated children in my household) and I have individually sealed ones to share- he cut me off mid sentence and rudely said 'Good luck' and walked off. Overall it was a horrible experience and a waste of my time, obviously his as well. I must only conclude that they
