Our toddler class is for children ages 16 months to two and a half years of age. Our toddler class sizes are smaller, which allows our teachers to be even more hands on. Our toddler program is designed to build a foundation of social skills and a love of learning from a young age. Our preschool curriculum is developed by our director, Wendy Lane.
The curriculum is based upon the needs and abilities of each age group. Our low student-to-teacher ratio gives our students and teachers the opportunity to strengthen academic and social skills tailored to each child's unique learning needs. Our preschool program builds early reading and math skills to prepare children for our Pre-K program and beyond.

Services
Our students can enjoy a variety of learning centers every day. These include the Writing Center, Library Center, Computer Station, and various Activity Centers with blocks, puzzles, table toys, and dress-up/imaginary play. We also have a variety of toys that are incorporated in rotation.
We have special days for the kids throughout the year such as "firetruck day" where we have a visit from the Spring Hill Fire Department - complete with the firetruck, of course!We also have "balloon days" with a visit from a local balloon artist who makes balloons for the kids to take home. We have magic shows, dress up days, holiday parades, visits from Santa, Dr. Suess Birthday Celebrations, Crazy Hat Days, and even Park Ranger Days!

Tuition is due on the first school day of the month, and late after the 7th of each month. A $20 late fee will be assessed for late payments. Tuition rates for the 2021 - 2022 school year are below. Please call our office (931) 486-1077, or stop by for an enrollment packet, application, and tour! Tours are available daily from 9:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.

We have had such a great experience at Discovery Lane for the last year! All of the teachers and assistants are wonderful and are so sweet to our daughter. They make her feel excited to come to school and comfortable while there. I love that I can come in whenever I want to visit her class and check in if needed. We are so happy we made the decision to send her to Discovery Lane!

We love Discovery Lane. My oldest child attended for two years before moving on to kindergarten. My youngest is in his fourth and final year. They have loved all their teachers, and I have always felt like I was leaving them in safe hands.
The school offers a good blend of play time and art projects with preparation for kindergarten. The 9 to 3 hours were just what I was looking for, and the price is more affordable than many options in Spring Hill. I would highly recommend Discovery Lane.

Discover Lane is the first school of any sort my son has ever attended and this school has set the bar so high for any school he attends in the future. Everyone is so friendly and so sweet to us both. All of the teachers do such an amazing job with the kids. My son has learned so much since he started there and I can see such a positive difference in him all around. I am so thankful to Discovery Lane for everything they have done!

My daughter is 2 years old and started Discovery Lane Day School January 2015. She has been to several child care facilities and done pretty well but it wasn't until I put her in Discovery Lane that she started to actually learn new things and she absolutely loves it!! I love that all the teachers and staff are friendly, helpful, and actually educate my child. When my daughter's preschool closed, we first heard about Discovery Lane Day School from various friends. We toured the school and instantly fell in love with the family-like feeling and the classroom sizes. All of the teachers and staff are very warm and friendly. If you are looking for a preschool where your child will look forward to going everyday and each day there is something new and exciting going on, then this is your school. The developmentally-appropriate academics as well as the themes and programming in this school are awesome! After being here for only one year prior to kindergarten

My son only recently started at Discovery Lane Day School, but the experience, so far, has been wonderful. Everyone at the school was so welcoming to our family when we visited. We knew the transition for our son would be difficult in the beginning being that he was never in school before so this was entirely new to him. Everyone at Discovery Lane was so comforting to him and to me, as well. He is now a more confident child when going to school and comes home happy and tells me all about his day. We look forward to spending these next few years at Discovery Lane Day School.

We LOVE Discovery Lane! My 2yr old son started in the fall and had severe separation anxiety. Wendy and his teachers patiently helped us both through the entire process, assuring me he would be okay and now he can't wait to 'go to school' every week and loves his teachers! We are so thankful to have found Discovery Lane!

My 5 year old son is currently in Pre-K, and has been attending the past two years. He loves Discovery Lane and each teacher he has had has been wonderful. I know he will be ready for kindergarten, but I am also happy that they did not do a full kindergarten curriculum in Pre-K! They have a wonderful balance between work and play, where I know he is always thrilled to go in but he is also being prepared for what kindergarten brings. The staff are always friendly and helpful, and I could not be happier with our experience here. My almost 3 year old daughter will be starting here in the fall as well

I am so glad my daughter is so well prepared for kindergarten due to her time at Discovery Lane. They have really made learning fun for her this year. She used to have a lot of anxiety about preschool, but has had none since we switched to Discovery Lane. They have excellent parent communication and do a lot of artwork, which my daughter loves. Love them!
