Located in the heart of Franklin Square, New York, Plattduetsche Park has been Long Island's home for German culture, cuisine and events since 1901. With a property of eight acres in size, Plattduetsche is a whole lot more than your average German restaurant. In fact, besides our main building restaurant, we have a Beer Hall, Biergarten, Brathaus, catering halls and a large event space.
Whether you're looking for a weekday dining spot, a unique venue for a day out with friends or the perfect location for any kind of event, we have everything you need to make it happen! Since 1883, Plattduetsche Volksfest Vereen of Brooklyn (PVV), a society of German immigrants from the flatlands of northern Germany, has called New York home.

Services
Plattduetsche Park has been Long Island and the surrounding area's top destination for traditional German specialties and continental cuisine since 1901. On our eight-acre property, we are home to a restaurant, Biergarten, catering facilities, festivals, more than two dozen German clubs and so much more.
Plattduetsche Park traces its origins back to 1883 when Plattduetsche Vereen of Brooklyn, a society of immigrants from the flatlands of northern Germany (which is the meaning of Plattduetsche), was created. It formed out of the need for welfare and support of local community members, as well as for the promotion of German culture and tradition.
Plattduetsche Park was originally founded as a support system and social hall for local German immigrants in the late 1800s. While adapting to life in America, it was important for them to remember and connect with their roots, as well as celebrate and pass on their heritage and customs to new generations growing up in a foreign country.
Plattduetsche Park wouldn't be anything without the hard work of our dedicated staff, as well as everyone that has worked with us over the years. For any further questions or inquiries about employment opportunities at Plattduetsche, feel free to contact Christina Alexander at calexander@parkrestaurant.com.
Whether you choose to dine in our main dining room, Beer Hall restaurant, Biergarten or host a catered event at the Plattduetsche, you'll find top-quality food prepared by Executive Chef Herbert Aigner and the rest of our talented kitchen staff. Choose from traditional German dishes or more continental selections on our extensive menus.

Debbie and all staff at the Plattdeutsche are incredible at what they do. From the moment we first met with Debbie we loved her and were confident booking our reception. She is extremely personable, communicative, detail oriented, honest (which I found so refreshing) and such a sweetheart. Debbie and I hit off off and even though I can be a crazy one she embraced it and was always patient with me and my nuttiness. We did not feel even remotely confident with our previous venue and with her it was instant. She was honest about what she thought was worth upcharges and what not and she was spot on

Was really debating between 2 or 3 stars. The place is nice but very hard to see the stage from most of the bier garden. Can get very loud because it is built like a cavern. The server was extremely nice but the food runners and busboys are very lost. Asked 3 different busboys for napkins. Never got them. Had to go find one to clear our table so we could have dessert. The food was so-so. Potato pancakes were tasty but very thin. The pretzel barely had any salt on it and the cheese dipping sauce was hard and cold. The wings were way too spicy for medium

I had their Giant burger, think it’s called the big Bavarian?…. Anyway, it was huge!!:.. Now big burgers are over-rated, many places have them. THIS BURGER was different! The TASTE was beyond any burger I’ve ever had. The fried pickle, potato pancake and combo of fixings along with the meat was PERFECT!! I can’t say enough, you just have to try it!
