ISA was founded in 1975 as Solar Applications Company by Alain Ratheau, an electrical and mechanical engineer, originally from Paris. Alain designed and installed solar thermal and photovoltaic systems. Alain continues to work with ISA as a lead engineer and system designer. Andy received a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute with Distinction and an MBA from the University of North Carolina.
Andy worked for IBM Corporation as a manufacturing engineer, Related Companies as a mortgage broker and real estate development project manager, and BankNorth as a real estate workout specialist. He owned a real estate development company specializing in energy efficient housing.

Solar photovoltaic (PV) technology converts the sun's energy into electricity. Solar modules or "panels" can be mounted on a roof, the side of a building, or on a ground rack. Geothermal systems can provide heating in the winter and cooling in the summer simply by turning a reversing valve. Heat Pump Technology is the same as your refrigerator but in reverse.

Net metering negates the need for battery storage and uses the utility grid to sell power back to your electric company.

Wow! After they installed my mini split, the owner came back to do a inspection and decided they were off by 2 inches and they spent an entire extra day reinstalling and making 100% repairs. It’s the sort of integrity that I appreciate. I was skeptical but I am heating and cooling a very large space without any issues and not burning a bit of fossil fuel. Can’t beat it!

Integrated Solar did a great job with our mini-split heat pump design and installation. The crew was respectful and listened to our questions and concerns. I feel like we received a good value for our money with a well designed and installed heating/cooling system which will meet our needs for many years. I recommend ISA for your heat pump system!

As a couple doing a gut rehab of an old house, we felt competent to be our own contractor for much of the demolition and renovation work, but when it came to designing and installing an energy efficient heating system, we needed professional help.
