It is very important to maintain the health of the primary teeth. Neglected cavities can - and frequently do - lead to problems which negatively affect developing permanent teeth. Primary teeth, or baby-teeth, are important for (1) proper chewing and eating, (2) providing space for permanent teeth and guiding them into the correct position, and (3) permitting normal development of the jaw bones and muscles.
Children's teeth begin forming before birth. As early as 4 months, the first primary teeth to erupt through the gums are the lower central incisors, followed closely by the upper central incisors. Although all 20 primary teeth usually appear by age 3, the pace and order of their eruption varies. Permanent teeth begin appearing around age 6, starting with the first molars and lower central incisors.

This dentist office is by far the best dentist we've ever been to! I have four kids two of which are grown so we've had our share of dentists. Our very first visit my girls we're saying how much they love this dentist office. Every single employee is so nice and so understanding. They interact with you on more of a personal level than just business and my girls have said multiple times they like that the dentist and the other employees actually talk to them and like other dentists that we've been to. I would recommend this dentist office to anyone they really are the best! This is the first review

This is not a place to take your kids if they are children of color . This practice has given me the worst experience with pediatric dentistry and this was my child’s first appointment ever with a pediatric dentist practice . Strike one was when they ran out of laughing gas to perform the treatment that was needed for my 4 year old which is highly unprofessional to start a procedure and not check to be sure you have the appropriate amount of things needed for that procedure . Second strike was when she proceeded to do treatment with my 4 year old with no laughing gas and minimal numbing cream

I recommend Post Oak Pediatric Dentistry in Marietta. Practices COVID-19 protocol. Everyone is always friendly and helpful. The staff are very interactive and never hesitate to speak to their patients about any concerns they may have and strike up a conversation. I feel at ease leaving my kids in their care. My kids said they felt no pain and are going home Happy. Thank you!

My daughter got her treatments done at Post Oak dentistry for the first time, and I would highly recommend this office. The entire staff are so sweet and attentive. We’ve been disappointed with several other pediatric dental offices, but this office is just amazing. The doctor and staff just knows how to work with kids. My daughter felt completely at ease, and her treatment went smoothly.

We had such an AWESOME experience here! Ms. Char is incredible with kids...she made my son feel like the whole experience was fun. The place is set up so kid friendly and everyone is gentle and explains everything thats happening...no rush. I would recommend any mom or dad to bring their kids here, hands down. I wish there were dentists offices like this when I was a child.

I've been going to post oak pediatric dentistry for a little over two years and have been very pleased with their willingness to work with my alternative, more natural approach to things. I am very impressed with the staff, they are always very friendly and patient with the children. Char goes above and beyond to make sure patients have true informed consent. Both dentist's are nice.

My son had a strong trauma about dental treatment, and he refused to sit on the dental bed and did not open his mouth. But after going here, his attitude changed. He no longer cried, and he followed all directions. They helped him relax and were very careful to overcome fear. I am so happy to know this place.
