Sierra Sewing Center, Carson City is wonderful. I was in the market for a new sewing machine. The ladies (Terry and Le Anne) were so helpful and very knowledgeable. They really listened to my wants and needs and I purchased a Husqvarna Viking Sapphire 930 which I’m in love with.
LeAnne gave me my “Getting to know” my sewing machine class which was so very helpful and LeAnne was very knowledgeable and made sure I new how to use my new sewing machine ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
I’ve just recently started their “Block of the Month” so fun and beautiful patterns and colors.

Excellent selection of fabric. Very friendly and helpful. Lots of notions, machines...just all around a great store. Gave 4 versus 5 stars because their fabric and notions are pretty pricey. Would definitely go out of my way to shop there again.

If I lived here, I would be here frequently. Loved the fabrics at Sierra. The ladies were very nice. Cute samples of projects.

A room of sewing machines and I wished I had time for a class. Classes were indoors (it's Nevada).

Glad to find crafting stores when I'm on vacation!

This business offers a wide selection of class opportunities with fabulous instructors. I recently attended a dog treat bag class taught by the 'Sylvia the Bag Oracle'. The class was held in a training room w/appropriate safe distancing. Sylvia provide step-by-step demonstrations while providing each student w/hands-on instruction throughout the session. It's a great chance for you folks to push your sewing skills by taking on if the classes offered by Sierra Sewing. Just do it!

Meh. Paid $130 for a simple sewing machine maintenance. After a 2+ week wait, the machine was returned but doesnt stitch in reverse. I called (outside of their less than bankers hours) and left a message but never recieved a call back. It's great there is a place for sewing machine maintenance but there's two issues here: they charged me more to perform maintenance than I paid for the machine or what i could buy the machine for new today. Then, they created a problem I didn't have before maintenance and didn't call back.

If you want something done right, for a fair price

I love this shop and all the staff, I seriously would not have survived the "stay in place period of CV19". I found a true passion and I will continue to support this locally owned quilting shop.
Oh, best fabric selection too.

My Dyson vacuum roller brush broke while using it. I called Dyson directly for a replacement part. The sent it to me but I wasn't able to fix it myself fearing I might break it. I walked into Sierra Sewing last night around 5pm and they fixed it while I waited even thought they usually do not service Dyson products.

All of the workers were really nice and helpful. The store was huge & loaded with sewing machines, materials and vacuum cleaners. I'd highly recommend this company to anyone needed anything restated to sewing or vacuums.

I can't say enough about these wonderful people from my first phone call to Lori to see if they would work on a Fuller brush vacuum to actually going into the store the same day and having Jarrad get me in and out in less than 15 minutes was a blessing.

This vacuum was not even purchased from them, but they were more than happy to help and assist, they had the The belt in stock and it was certainly reasonably price. All I can say is if you need to have your vacuum repaired replaced or just tuned up this is the place to go. Five star amazing customer service

Sierra Sewing is my new favorite sewing machine dealer! Best price in town, trust me, I checked around and Top Rate service and classes. And the kind of business that helps out an at risk high school teacher by Truly giving her a good deal on 6 quality machines. I'm so grateful and I know my students are going love their new Babylock Molly Machines!

Big shop, very nice selection of fabric. Lots of patterns, and samples to draw you in. My sister-in-law and I discovered some new materials that we'd never seen before (Kraft-Tex). They carry a large selection of Tutto bags. It woudn't have been any problem to purchase fabrics for an entire project here. They also have lots of machine embroidery patterns with samples to tantalize you.

We went into Sierra Sewing in search for a machine to start our quilting journey. Lori greeted as we came in and we discussed my budget. She showed us the Pfaff machines and I fell in love. I'm usually very indecisive but she helped me make the best choice for me and kept within my budget.
Will definitely be coming back for fabric and take advantage of the classes that came with my purchase.

Everyone at Sierra sewing is very helpful and welcoming. I purchased my embroidery machine there and they bundled everything up for me and offered a great price. Every time I go there with my machine they gladly help me get the machine out of my car. I had knee surgery and I have a hard time lifting the machine so this make such a difference for me. When I purchased my machine I got several embroidery patterns but they all came on CDs and I don't own a computer that has a CD reader on it (who does anymore really). I really wanted to get working on my machine as soon as possible and they downloaded

This store has been recommended by 3 different people so I had to come see the rationale behind it. I first walked in to ask if they price-match as I was very interested in buying a sewing machine from Amazon. When they told me the "basic" Babylock - Molly was $300, I made it very clear I was not going to spend that amount on a sewing machine as I work full time & only sew to alter my own garments during my free time. Anna was still VERY helpful and answered all my questions and showed me all they had to offer. The selection of machines, fabrics, accessories they carry is endless

The only bad thing about thus place is NO HANDICAP PARKING
I took my Elna in .
Wasn't serviced for 15 years lol
I was quoted 89.00 over the phone, but cost me 129.00, after I arrived.
I would have given them less stars. The machine runs like brand new. They said the 69-89 was a basic tune up.
Since it had never has a service, before that was the price?
I didn't have time to look around, but it was nice and open.
If it had handicap parking, I wouldn't had to take up 3 spaces lol!!

There is 1 woman in this store that is kind and helpful at all times.
The woman that manages or owns this place has no idea how to treat a customer. I spent $10,000 in this store in 1 day and one of my machines was defective and they would not exchange it for another machine they wanted to ship it back to the manufacturer for repair and have me wait until it came back! I finally went in and bought a different brand and used the store credit, wow they lost a good customer I had been buying machines and having them serviced there for 5 years for use in my business and now I use a different shop
