Greeted at the door, that was the only positive.
Horrible, horrible selection of fabric. Notions over priced. Looked like they were closing. Asked to use the restroom, and they said it broke one hour before we arrived? Yeah right. We traveled a long way for this store and it clearly was a waste of time.

A friendly staff member greeted me and was able to help with all my questions. I was able to drop my machine off to be looked at. I can't wait for the new classes to start

I haven't been there in over a year since it took them almost six months to get my order and I had to keep calling. When it finally came in, no apologies, nothing. Haven't been back since.

Soooooo helpful! Just ran in completely stressed as to the next steps in my first quilt ever. Staff calmed me down and pointed me in the right and easiest direction to get the job done ✔ 👌. Very glad I popped in.

This place, a woman helped us figure out a border for my daughter’s quilt to share with her boyfriend. She was patient and happily cut our fabrics.
This place is nice and I really liked her cutting table where the length of the frantic can gently fall into an old laundry bin. Gotta come in and see!

Surprisingly large quilt shop that still has the feel of a small local place. Passing through on our road trip and looking to collect some fabric souvenirs, the people there were very kind and helpful. Highly recommend, fabrics are reasonably priced

I ordered 6 yards of fabric on line & paid for it with my credit card only to find out that it was out of stock. I then called the shop and was told it would be in within 7-10 days. They said they would call me before they ship it to me. After 2 weeks I still have not received a call or the fabric and my credit card was charged for the purchase and the shipping the day it was ordered. I had to pay my credit card bill for fabric I may never get. If fabric is out of stock it should state that on the website.

Loved, loved, loved this place! Young man working there was so helpful and helping me pick out fabrics for a La Paz quilt and helped me match but I had purchased at some other local quilt shops. If I lived in Reno I would hang out here a LOT!

I love to visit quilt shops while on vacation and was very fortunate to find Going Batty while in Reno. Kim greeted me right away and gave me information about the new smaller Bernina that was on display in the store. When I purchased some applique scissors, she offered to show me a technique for their use. The sample quilts are gorgeous and the variety of fabric is wonderful. I would recommend anyone who loves to quilt visit this welcoming store!

I have been a Bernina owner and strong supporter for years, frequently upgrading to a new model. I purchased one for my daughter at this shop a few years ago. I was told she would get 8 hours of instruction on the machine. She was back home within three hours. The instructor was ill so she had her husband attempt to teach the class. My daughter had nothing but trouble with the machine. He was unable or unwilling to help her. So I beg to differ with the review given by Casey from 2013. We never received a phone call offering to redo the class, so their customer service was nonexistent. When I purchased

The owner/Bernina tech failed to properly "service" my 440QE. As soon as I got it home and fired it up, the first few stitches produced a godawful metallic popping sound that scared me so much I jumped back from my machine. I immediately called the shop asking to speak to the tech, who was there but would not come to the phone. I left 2 messages for him to call me back, he never did.

After 2 weeks of no satisfaction or contact from Neff the tech, I took my machine to another Bernina tech to now "repair" it (causing me to drive over 150 miles round trip) He immediately identified

I recommend this business strongly! The store is bright, big, with plenty of product, enticing displays, helpful staff and a repair dept to die for...etc, etc. And I am not a quilter! I had been told, by another establishment, "not to bring in my ailing/older (that describes me and I resent the implications!) serger - however, they would willingly sell me a new one starting @ $500! (Bait and switch.) The Going Batty repair person took my serger - to assess the repairs - I waited for about 30 minutes and he returned with my restored serger working well! I honestly thought I would be advised to

I can't say enough wonderful things about Going Batty. Neff and Carie McGhie have a first class operation. They know their business inside and out, and are extremely honest and fair. I had Neff repair my Bernina after an unfortunate tumble off my sewing table. I can't tell that anything has changed. The machine sews perfectly, and it was repaired very quickly and at a fair price. The shop is beautiful, very up to date, and has a wonderful selection. Their staff members are knowledgable, helpful, and very considerate. A+ all the way around!
