We were buying a home. They were paid to come out and inspect and certify the fireplaces. They did so they said. Come to find out that both fire places are not up to code, both are not usable and when I confronted them about it they told me at the time they were safe. We have only own the house for 3 months. They lied to the seller, lied to me and my family. Now in order to get both in working order, to code and safe, we have to spend 12K in chimney repairs. DO NOT USE THEM. No integrity!

Positive: Professionalism
I am a Realtor and have used this company many times! The owner has done all the jobs himself, he provided written bids on site and explained to my clients the options each time. Highly recommended! On time and NONE of the contractor problems such as late, no shows, increasing bids, poor work etc.

This is our 3rd experience with Top Hat over about 7 years. Every time Hartley and his team are communicative (I get a call the morning of a service with a 2 hour window of arrival- and they ALWAYS arrive in that window. They are professional- floor covers, vacuuming around the fire box before leaving, and in these COVID days masked from start to finish. They CARE- today Brock wouldn't leave before ensuring our firebox was in top shape- even getting his ladder back out to inspect a potential issue and FIXING it! Every time we have an interaction with this company we are impressed. Thank you Hartley

I would NOT recommend this company. I called on 2/8, spoke to the owner, and scheduled an appointment for 2/9 between 3pm and 5pm. The appointment was for a chimney cleaning and inspection, as I'm in the process of selling my house and it is required for closing. About 15 minutes after making the appointment, I got a call back from the owner telling me he needed to reschedule because his service vehicle broke down a few days prior, and he had to purchase a new vehicle and it wouldn't be ready until 2/11, so we rescheduled for 2/11 between 3pm to 5pm. (why would you schedule an appointment for the
