It is very important to brush and floss regularly when you have braces so that the teeth and gums remain healthy during orthodontic treatment. Patients should continue to see their general dentist every six months for cleanings and dental check-ups. Adults who have a history of gum disease should also see a periodontist during orthodontic treatment.
Clear aligner therapy, such as Invisalign, has made many advancements over the years and can now be used for most patients as well. A digital scan is taken of your teeth and Dr. Fernandez will be able to digitally treatment plan your case based on your x-rays, digital scan, and photos. The aligners, also known as trays, incrementally move your teeth.

Dr. Fernandez and her entire staff are beyond amazing! They are incredibly thorough and take the time to explain the process every step of the way. We had complementary visits with other orthodontists and when we met with Dr. Fernandez we knew immediately she was the one for us. Our 14-year-old son was only interested in the Invisalign‘s and we weren’t sure if that would be an option. Because he has a few dental needs we thought he could only use metal braces. We met with her and she reviewed his x-rays with us and discovered that he really did have options so we went with the Invisalign’s

Everyone here is genuinely nice and friendly. The building is also very open and clean. Dr. Fernandez and her team spend as much time as needed to answer any and all the questions you have. They are also available to answer questions by text and are responsive so that was a great extra perk. Scheduling appointments was easy as well. I’ve had a great experience here and would recommend it in a heartbeat!
