Nothing pleases me more than seeing a family of eight, 10, 12 or so rearranging tables so they can all sit together. I've known these folks for decades. They are three generations of Katzinger's fans with a loyalty that surpasses their love of corned beef. Somehow we have become part of their family's traditions.

As someone who grew up in Columbus I may be biased, but Katzinger's is hands down the best deli in the city. I usually get the #16 but truly everything they offer is great! Only downside is the usual complaint - the location is not ideal and it's often packed.. but the employees are pretty good about getting the food out as quick as they can.

Live close to german village (and am moving to the neighborhood soon!) so wanted to check out as many GV restaurants as possible. Katzinger's was definitely on the list of classic restaurants in the area. I ordered lunch over the phone when we were already pretty close by, and then picked it up after doing a quick stroll around Schiller Park.
Ordered the Reuben, the lox bagel and the Kobb salad. Everything was good. My husband said the reuben is the best he's had. The lox bagel was delicious with the right ratio of cream cheese, salmon and tomatoes (a little too much onion but that&apos

I have so much to say, but there's a word limit so I'll keep this brief: this is absolutely without a doubt the best sandwich in the entire city of Columbus. I love this place, and have never once had a bad sandwich here! Do yourself a favor and go. I don't even have a recommendation. Every single thing on the menu is INCREDIBLE

Quality and consistency issues! This restaurant was considered a Columbus tradition for decades. But over the last few years we've not had a quality meal for the high prices charged. With each visit the amount of meat on a sandwich has declined. We gave them one last try on 12/7/2. We ordered two #1's and one #29. 2 of the sandwiches were half filled with fatty inedible cornbeef and none of the sandwiches had the complimentary pickle. We spent almost $50 for low quality meat and an incomplete order. NOT WORTH IT!! Not sure why they have sooo many people working there....apparently none if them

Sometimes you're just craving a classic deli experience, and for that Katzinger's is quite excellent. We had the potato latkes, Lindey's Come Again, Fred Jazzy Pita Treats and the Matzo Ball soup. The latkes are a bit on the fried side. I thought the Lindey's Come Again sandwich was a home run. The Matzo Ball soup was salty but in the range of authentic. If you do takeout, the sandwiches can get a little soggy (not ideal), but the flavors are still plentiful.
That being said, getting takeout from the German Village location can cause a small heart attack. Parking isn&apos

NO DINE IN OPTION! The sand which was very tasty! We got the number 12 with the pickles. The pickles were awesome , and the lime cheesecake was some of the best I’ve had. The only reason I give this a 4 is because we walked a mile from our hotel to eat there only to find out they had not opened their dining area back up. While I was there multiple people asked about the dine-in option - this is very disappointing!

This is one of my favorite places in all of Columbus and definitely the number one deli around! I've never had anything from here that wasn't amazing. I usually get the #16 but I've tried most things on the menu. I also come here occasionally to pick up cheese, sides or dessert. Their rueben sandwiches are huge and absolutely delicious. A must try spot for sure!

We have never had a bad sandwich here. We try to change it up every time we go. The sides are amazing and the dessert are absolutely delicious. If I had to recommend a good selection to try... #29 with a side of potato salad, two pickles( 1 Garlic& 1Dill) a piece of carrot cake and a cherry soda. There bread, cheese, and deli meat area is amazing. Staff is always polite and helpful.

You're gonna pay for it but it's the best GD deli in the city.
Every sandwich I've had has been excellent, hot or cold. Especially fond of the pastrami and corned beef (#31)
I love the cheese blintz (similar to a crepe) but my favorite side are the potato latke's
Our St Pattys day tradition is to pick up all of the fixins for reuben sandwiches here and make them at home.
If you're not opposed to pandemic pickles in a barrel, the garlic pickles are fantastic too.
Hard to do often because of the price, but if that's not a concern, it's fantastic.

The food is good! There are some problems though. The prices are crazy high! For a bagel with onion, tomato, cream cheese, and salmon it cost $15. That’s about $3 worth ingredients, $0.50 in labor and a HUGE markup in price. With all the options you may need a few mins to review the menu. Well, the employees seem to be annoyed if you need more than one min to look at the menu, I felt rushed and the cashier was rude when I ordered. Seemed like she had better things to do. Also, if you work as a cashier, you’re customer facing for one to two mins. You don’t need more than a $0.25 tip for your

My wife and I decided to try out this place. On the day we came it is only patio seating or carryout. They also offer Uber Eats and Doordash as delivery options. We chose to get the Katzinger's Ruben and Gene's Free Lunch and got 2 Diet Dr.Browns cream soda, it is the best cream soda I ever tasted. Seriously. From start to finish you are looking for about a 20 minute wait after you place your order. The food quality when it came out was okay.... i mean it was just okay, nothing to write home about.

Katzinger's Delicatessen is a gem!
Located in German Village within walking distance of many shops and boutiques is this local deli. We shared the Katzinger's Reuben and also the Bill, Gary and Beuford's Upper Yough Reuben (featured on the Food Network's Best Thing I Ever Ate). The house made pickles were also a treat; we had one dill pickle and also a garlic pickle. The food was amazing! What a great assortment of bread, meats and cheeses as well as wine to take home too.

Katzingers is a Columbus institution.
They serve up delicious, oversized delicious sandwiches with big portions of delicious sides and easily the best pickles in town. The staff will switch out breads and cheese if you ask. I always have leftovers. They have all the deli favorites and a decent vegetarian selection, too.
This place gets packed, so it was nice to visit when it was a little quieter and have a quick browse on the wine rack.
Some other folks have mentioned the prices, and I'll agree it's a little spendy, but if you go in knowing you're at ~$20/person and let yourself

Whenever I travel it’s always nice to try a nice Jewish Deli in any town. Katzinger’s Delicatessen did not disappoint.
It’s easy breezy. Just walk in and place an order. They have a dedicated and witty menu. If you’re like me you can just say I’d like a pastrami on rye with Swiss & mayo. They won’t give you a hard time for asking for mayo over mustard.
They have great take away items and dishes to go with your sandwich. You can even grab your own pickle.

Stopped by on hour five of a long drive from Buffalo, NY. I'd preselected them due to proximity to the freeway, but was pleasantly surprised to see the cobble streets of Germantown and the ample parking available for Katzinger's.
I got the #75, Kathy and Jim Float Away, in the small size, and it was glorious. Plenty of mayonnaise to moisten the ample lettuce, crispy bacon, and toasted farm bread. Together the ingredients blended so well to be a crispy yet fresh stop. It was exactly what I was looking for after a long drive to refresh.

On the way back to Cleveland from a Hocking Hills camping trip, we were hankering for some good ol' Jewish deli food, so we thought of Kaztinger's right away. With a decent amount of outdoor seating available, we felt it was a safe bet to give it a try.
For the three of us, we split two sandwiches and a slice of key lime pie. Katzinger's features Dr. Browns sodas, so I was excited to have the Black Cherry version, one of my all time favorites.
The corned beef (#1 - Katzinger's Reuben) came with all the typical toppings: hot corned beef, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, Russian dressing
