We are rooted deep in the tradition of craftsmanship. Over the years, owner and woodworker Sam French has developed his own voice in this tradition through reshaping nature's raw displays of beauty into new yet familiar forms. Sam creates unique pieces of custom made wood furniture and custom live edge furniture from materials he sustainably harvests and mills right at the shop.

It was a tremendous honor to design nine different pieces of furniture for this momentous project. The work of Maya Lin, the architectural designer of Smith College's revamped Neilson Library, is noted for its environmental components, such as the significant increase in natural light that's a vital part of the renovation.
At Gill CC Woodworks, we create high-quality custom wood bar tops as well as natural edge bar tops. With a dedication to providing high-quality craftsmanship, we've demonstrated to countless customers that we can offer them incredibly unique and distinct works utilizing sustainably harvested and milled wood.
No two custom wood coffee tables are alike. This is especially true of the natural edge coffee tables we create because we leave the wood's natural edge intact, which creates a very distinctive look and is evocative of the sense of being closer to nature even in the privacy of your own home. It is for this reason that natural edge wood coffee tables, also referred to as live edge wood coffee tables, are incredible pieces of home furniture.
Each custom wood dining table and natural edge dining table we produce is completely unique. Comprised of wood that is sustainably harvested and milled right here in our shop, each custom made wood dining table we create is distinct. This is especially true for the natural edge dining room tables we create, which still retains the wood's distinctive, asymmetrical edge.

Made entirely from sustainably harvested wood, each piece of specialty wood furniture we create is wonderfully distinct from all others. While not every piece of custom made specialty furniture here is made of live edge wood, many of them are.
