Services
Dr. Ubieta completed his first dental education in Havana, Cuba in 2007. Not long after, he relocated to Miami, FL, where he assisted several education courses before attending Nova Southeastern University (NSU) School of Dentistry, where he completed two years of a residency program in Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD), earning his Doctorate in Dental Medicine in the US.
We understand how intimidating visiting a dentist for the first time can be. Not only can the paperwork be overwhelming, but also many people are anxious about going to the dentist. We strive to make sure that all our patients have an enjoyable visit any time that they visit our office. You will be greeted by a friendly receptionist and our entire staff is here for you during your appointment.

Most dental offices send all their laboratory work to outside labs, but here at Sunset Family & Cosmetic Dentistry, Dr. Ubieta is utilizing an in house lab that fabricates most of our Crowns, Inlays/Onlays and Veneers.
Here at Sunset Family and Cosmetic Dentistry, we are proud to offer dental restorations so you can be proud of your smile. We can also fix missing teeth, and there are many options. Typically, we like to place implants, which will act like your tooth's replacement root. Overtop of the implants, we use crowns, which are artificial teeth, restoring your mouth with normal-sized and shaped teeth.

I went to Sunset Family Dentistry for a second evaluation. The doctor sat down and examined my X-rays, and patiently explain to me what I needed. I had a basic oral cleaning with Inna, she was really professional and she took her time with it. She was rough and gentle with them just the perfect balance of what I think a good cleaning.

This has been one of the best experiences I have ever had at the dentist. The staff is incredibly professional and kind, I feel like I have known them for ever. The facility is not only incredibly clean and well kept but all of the tech they use is of the latest available. In addition to this they were incredibly flexible with me and the time constraints I had, I am impressed and grateful!

Hands down one of the best dentist I have ever gone to, Dr.Ubieta and his team are not only quick and to the point but they have mastered the skill of customer service. I've been going to Sunset Family & Cosmetic Dentistry for about 2 years now and I love every visit. The team all radiate the kindness and attention to detail that is so rare in Miami these days. I'm so happy and grateful I found this dentist in my area which is south beach. What's even better is the fact that he has an office as well in South Miami which is close to my job. Dr Ubieta is awesome, super professional and nice. His stag is amazing as well. Valerie at the desk is super knowledgable and helpful when it comes to breaking down the insurance bill. I love this office.

Not pleased with the service I received today. I had prepaid upfront for 3 cavity fillings and came in expecting what I paid for. Instead, I received a surprise extra filling that I had no say in until the procedure was already performed. On top of that, I was charged for medication during the procedure that I had not agreed to pay for. Of course, the receptionist forgot that I had prepaid and attempted to charge me the full price 'with a discount'. I would prefer that I receive clarity upfront and an accurate pricing instead of greeted with extra charges at the end. The prices may be

Over the last 7 years or so I have noticed dentists are making a hard push to sell more and more services that I always felt were unnecessary. I have great teeth and I take very good care of them and have always visited the dentist regularly yet I was told I needed to go on a four month cleaning rotation, I needed antibiotics, deep cleanings, teeth whitening, old root canals re-done, braces, etc. I felt like I was walking into a car dealership and I would have to mentally prepare to push back against the high pressure sales tactics. I always came away feeling like I was being taken advantage of

After the horrible service and experience I received from Sunset Oaks Dental coming to this office is nothing but a pleasure. I had an appointment today at 9:30 and got there at 9:26 AM. To my surprise I was called in EXACTLY at 9:30 to be seen. I was so pleased with how punctual my appointment was. The service was speedy and the staff was beyond sweet and helpful. So glad to find such a great office after the horrible experience I've had in the past!!!

My Family has been using this dental practice for the last year and we are impressed.
The people on the front desk are great and I have never had any problems with communication. I also like that they either call or send messages to confirm.
Im not so keen on going to the Dentist as I have ongoing issues but Dr Ubieta from the get go told me the facts and now thanks to him I have braces and will be doing some other work.
The Hygenist is patient and thorough and gets to it without being super aggressive. Always nice to have a chat with as well.
The lovely assistants are very relaxed and friendly

We came as three, myself, my sister and my niece. All as new patients. All with different dental needs. I must say I was very impressed. The women in the front were friendly, courteous and helpful, especially in filling in the forms and getting insurance information if 'someone' has lost their card (the niece). They make you feel welcome and at ease. After a short wait we were taking in the back to have X-rays done and met with the dentist. He discussed our dental health and suggested a plan of treatment. I have avoided dentists for almost a decade. I hate being preached to and made to feel worse than I already do. That has been my experience with dentists until Dr. Ubieta. His office staff is warm and friendly and amazing. He returns calls personally. He takes his time to explain and is very knowledgeable. His front desk girl, Roxy, is awesome! She answers any question and goes above and beyond to help you figure out insurance and aftercare. Incredible dental practice. I highly recommend.

I am not a fan of dentists in any way shape or form. So I'm actually quite surprised I can bring myself to give a dentist five stars.
They are just so genuinely kind and the welcoming atmosphere makes sitting in the torture chamber that much better.
Dr Ubieta and his team are possibly the sweetest people you'll ever meet. They have the most down to earth vibe and know how to make you feel less anxious (if you're like me).. I've always bounced around from dentist to dentist but I'm so happy to have finally found them.
They get booked solid for weeks ahead of time so
