I thought that this establishment has always been welcoming and inviting to all guests traveling to and from the outlets and NH areas. The food is always fresh and the service is always spot on. You would think that with the fact that this is a semi-touristy place, that it would take away from the experience but it really does not hamper the small town scratch baking and cook feel and we love coming here.
Another plus about this place is the beer list. I feel that there are different types from all over the New England area. This time that I came here I had the brussel sprouts as an app and

Delicious wood-fired pizzas, salads, sandwiches and a great selection of local beers. On Sundays you can order brunch pizza, with eggs and bacon! Large capacity dining room with enclosed porch, and plenty of outdoor seating in summer. Stop into the adjoining store for fresh-baked breads and cookies. Don't miss the blueberry-lemon bread pudding. (It freezes well.) There are also jams, vinegars, olive oil, mustards, glassware and soap.

Pictures are two separate occasions over this last weekend.
First, their tenders are absolutely amazing. I know, I know. Tenders, how special can they be? Well theirs are absolutely delicious, even for adults.
The second thing we got was their Gyro which was on special. It was so ridiculously good! Definitely would have that again.
Second trip we shared their Chicken Bacon Ranch Buffalo pizza, and the Ruben with a cup of Squash Bisque. The pizza was phenomenal, they don't skimp out on any of the toppings. The bisque was fresh and hit the spot. The Ruben was as good a Ruben as I've ever had.

SO REFRESHING! I've never had a pizza and sandwich that was so refreshing and tasty. I come from Hawaii, so we are definitely big on our food and how it makes us feel. My dad is from Kittery, so we would come up here to visit sometimes. This is the first time I've ever had When Pigs Fly, and it is incredible! The bread on the sandwich had berries, which I have never had. Now, I feel like I need this bread with every sandwich I make! The pizza is hearty and delicious, and it was just a short distance away from where we were staying. If you're in the mood for great pizza and sandwiches

Stopped here while shopping at the outlets. Split a meatball pizza with the wifey (no hot peppers on her side). It was SO good. Wife agrees. The crust was delicious, best I've ever tasted. We also had some fries for an appetizer. I usually don't like shoestring fries but these were pretty good with the cheese dipping sauce that comes with them. I can't wait to visit here again.
The shop next door was great too. We picked up a loaf of bread and some cookies for home. Great great spot. Highly recommend.

Fish sandwich was not cooked. I thought I was eating sushi. Ordered a pepperoni pizza for the kids. It had big slices of pepperoni on it 2 of the slices had no pepperoni on it. It was not worth the 65.00 just an other slotter house get them in get them out. We were told they had the best bakery. Bought four cookies. They were old and dry. Looked like one of the cookies had mold in on it. My mother bought a muffin it was old and dry. Bought bread not sure I will try it most likely it will go in the trash with the cookies and muffin. I was very disappointed

Came here on a whim, waitress was excellent, suggested a fantastic stout (it was #11 when we dined). Food came out very quick despite it being almost a full house with two very large parties.
Overall, I'm very impressed with the quality of the food and the speed at which it was prepped and brought out.
We got the shrimp app and fries, and the tenders with hot honey. Followed that up with the Korean chicken bowl, the mushroom pizza, and mussels.
Everything was great, and I'll likely be stopping back here again.

Delicious food! Chill, friendly vibe. Got 2 salads- the Greek and the Kale, both were excellent. Especially loved the vinaigrette on the kale salad. Also got a margherita pizza. The dough is awesome- you can tell they specialize in bread. Someone also got a fernet iced tea mixed drink. It was one of the specials.

It's been three years since my last visit, but everything was even better than I remembered.
Selection of craft beer was spot on. Chicken wing appetizer-yummy. And the pizza was perfection.
Waitstaff does a good job, friendly and efficient.
Add a side trip to the bakery store to stock up on goodies and it was a great visit.

We have visited the company store numerous times and always been pleased, but we usually drive into Ogunquit for pizza. Tonight was our first time here, and we did takeout,and it did not disappoint.
We called ahead while we were having a beer at Definitive , and they told us the pizza would be ready at 5:30. Drove down to get it, and while we were a few minutes early, we only had to wait about a minute until it came out as ready.
Got it home, and wow! We got the medjool date and soppressata pizza and the BCBR which was a Buffalo chicken ranch pizza without the red sauce.
Both were fantastic

Stopped for a quick bite while visiting the nearby outlets. The goat cheese strawberry salad was fresh and delicious. The piazza was okay, nothing to write home about although i did enjoy the brick oven crust. The meatball sandwich was good. Stopped in the store and purchased some sourdough bread on the recommendation of some other customers.

This was an amazing stop midday from shopping at the Kittery Outlets! Located just a few minutes from the outlets, When Pigs Fly was allocated in a convenient spot and far off enough to be a change in scenery.
We got a a Margarita pizza (which was delicious ) and emjoued in their open field put front. They are super dog friendly! Our pizza was ready in about 10
Minutes on a busy Sunday of Labor weekend at 1 PM.
The bread store next to the pizzeria was also great, carrying different types of loaves that aren't usually in stores

The appetizer of Buffalo Wings was a well worth the visit. Big sized wings, juicy tender meat, the sauce was the right level of spicy...over a really strong dish.
The pizza however was a bit disappointing. The crust was not only thicker than I expect with a wood fired pizza but the center of the dough wasn't fully cooked (visually could see it was still raw). The flavor was decent but next time I'd order a double of wings and call it a day.

This is definitely one of those pizza's that my heart is made out of as the flavor profiles that can be found here are nothing short of magical just like a flying pig!
Of the many different options it was all about the momma lil's for us as it had sausage, onions, and peppers on it all things that make a pizza fly!
That pizza was delicious and just oh so good with every bite it was cooked perfectly and those flavors were totally there in every way!
For dessert we ordered the chocolate chip cookies s'mores it too was beyond yummy as that ice cream had all components of the s&apos

It has been a long time since I have been excited over artisan breads but "When Pigs Fly" has done that. I purchased Orange Cranberry and was not disappointed, over the top full of flavor, moist, delicious, so much so I drove back to Maine the next week and purchased more bread, a cookie and condiments. The staff is helpful courteous, and knows the product,

Stopped in for lunch at When Pigs Fly and was greeted by the sweetest server today! She was kind, patient and knowledgeable of the menu! I was surprised to see such a huge beer menu! Very impressed by the huge selection!
There is an outdoor dining area with picnic tables and shade! We opted for indoors this time around to avoid the sun!
I snagged avocado toast and it was delicious! The pumpkin seeds added an extra hint of flavor to it!

So like many people, we took advantage of the half-price Wednesday special. While the pizza at When Pigs Fly is definitely artisan pizza and made with the best ingredients, they are still a bit pricey for this area. So the Wednesday special is an excellent opportunity to try different things which will enable you to identify your favorite.
Even though there is no way we could even finish one of the pizzas, we opted to order two with the thought that leftovers would make great lunches for the rest of the week.

My wife took her first sip of water and joked - "complimentary lobster flavored water". We tasted the water and ended up ordering bottled drinks for everyone.
The Buffalo wings were average at best and the pizza was forgettable for the price - I think the ingredients could definitely undergo an upgrade (the pizza also arrived suspiciously fast making us wonder if it was prepared in advance).

First timers. We began with the Brussels Sprouts ap.. Delicious, crispy, great flavor. Wood fired oven pizza was the Best I've ever had.
The staff was great. Covid respectful. So good to see a great operation being handled so we'll. Michelle and Debra took care of us. With all that's going on it's so comforting to know there's a safe place to go.

Had a wonderful time at both the store and pizzeria. The store had a great set up and design that made it feel like a neighborhood bread bakery. The staff was very friendly and engaging that made the customer experience one to remember. The samples they had of their bread and jelly was amazing. Such a selection of local flavors and products.
