The water taxi is awesome, the guy driving and the other guy, missed his name, were very helpful and knowledgeable! It was so fun!!! It's been the best thing we've seen and\or done here. This was way worth more than the aquarium.

Awesome! I wish i could remember the two guys names that ran the boat, as they were incredibly awesome. They were very good at giving history of the harbor and information on things around. They were also very humorous and willing to joke with the customers on the boat. They were quick to stop the boat and let people take pictures of dolphins that were around the boat. Very professional and very fun. I would definitely recommend this to anybody visiting Charleston for a fun ride around the harbor. Those two guys are definitely an asset to the company. Great tour, and a very inexpensive way to see

Not only is the Charleston Water Taxi a great mode of transportation, it's also a nice way to spend some time on the waters of Charleston Harbor, watching for dolphins and getting a close up water view of the USS Yorktown and the Ravenel Bridge. For $12, you can ride all day and hop on and off at any one of four stops. If you get off at Waterfront Park, I recommend relaxing on the swings while waiting for the Water Taxi to pick you up again.

You really want to do this while in Charleston! For only 10 bucks or so , you can ride the water taxi around the bay. It makes three stops. My friends and I just stayed on and enjoyed the ride and the views. You get to see a marina, an old submarine, a pirate ship, the big old war aircraft carrier, the beautiful bridge, and more. We saw dolphins!!!! They came right to the side of the taxi! The driver stopped so we could watch them!

This was a super cheap but fun way to tour a few landmarks around Charleston. It also sailed right up to the USS Yorktown carrier, offering a unique view of the underbelly of the ship, and avoiding the ridiculously expensive ticket fee for that museum. One way ticket was $8, or you can get an unlimited day pass for a few dollars more. Highly recommend.
