Immaculate Conception Elementary School
Since our schools' founding more than 125 years ago, our mission hasn't changed: We exist to assist parents in fully forming children's hearts, minds and souls to bring glory to God. By remaining true to this purpose, we honor our founders who sacrificed greatly to bring the gift of Catholic education to what was then the frontier town of Traverse City.

An outdoor, All School Mass is celebrated on the site of the new Immaculate Conception Elementary School, marking the start of the Our Faith, Our Future, Our Time capital campaign. The new Immaculate Conception Elementary School opens for students in Preschool through Grade 5.

God will judge us this way: 'I was hungry and you fed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was sick and you tended to me.' Jesus' meaning is clear: we must grow in love and compassion. The first question we must ask is what is our primary motivation? Is it to serve others?
Immaculate Conception Elementary is a place where children grow socially, academically and spiritually. Here they will build a foundation of faith and friends that - along with reading and math skills - will serve them for a lifetime. If you're considering PreKindergarten because of your child's birthday or readiness signals, you might want to check out this parent's perspective which talks about the practice of "academic red shirting."
Our middle school is the bridge that prepares students academically, emotionally and spiritually for secondary education. Leadership skills, character development, and higher level critical thinking skills are essentials to helping students at this age continue their formation to Christian adulthood.
The early years are critical for establishing a love of learning. At Immaculate Conception Preschool, your child will begin to establish healthy habits and routines, learn to interact with others, grow in confidence and ability, and most importantly, be loved! Our curriculum and teaching strategies allow children to advance at their own pace, and each class is staffed by a certified, experienced teacher.
With the start of the 2021 school year, students at Immaculate Conception Elementary and St. Francis High School once again have religious sisters as teachers. The Dominican Sisters of Saint Cecilia (commonly referred to as the "Nashville Dominicans") have established a mission in Traverse City. Four sisters now serve as teachers at Grand Traverse Area Catholic Schools.

Report
Moved to TC from Colorado Springs 3 years ago and have been pleased with SF since day one.
Challenging curriculum, broad spectrum of activities for students, and strong faith-building. The faculty and staff have been phenomenal. If you're looking for quality education in a quality environment, where character and respect are reinforced daily, consider SF.
I do wish there was more support for STEM and Robotics activities, however.
