Public services are allowed at this time. Guidelines still call for mask wearing for vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals in large crowded indoor settings. For this reason, we ask any public services with more than 50 people, please wear a mask. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to give us a call.

Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home & Crematory is proud to be part of the community for over 50 years. In 1961, W. Paul Hayworth and Robert F. Miller saw an opportunity and purchased Manuel Funeral Home, located at 619 West Fifth Street in downtown Winston-Salem, renaming it Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home.
When planning a service, you have many options available to you and we will do all that we can to provide a beautiful and respectful ceremony. No matter your choice, we can offer you a space to join with family and friends in grief, comfort and love. And above all, we will do our utmost to honor your loved one.
Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home would like to announce the opening of the Robert F. Miller Center, part of a 3600 square foot expansion located at our Silas Creek location. The center is an ideal space for visitations, receptions, and celebrations of life for loved ones. The center can also be used as an alternative to the chapel area if guests would like a more intimate service.
When it comes to your final arrangements, shouldn't you make the decisions? The arrangements you make will reflect your exact wishes and desires. Pre-arranging your own service will help to ease the burden of your loved ones. It will also alleviate any questions, problems or differences, which can occur among family members.
Meaningful memorialization of a loved one's passing can transform, heal, and comfort us. It highlights our loved ones' sacrifices, reminds us of the things that they value, and inspires us with their life stories. Have the Talk of a Lifetime, a program created by The Funeral and Memorial Information Council, was designed to help families have meaningful conversations about the things that matter most in their lives.

It is difficult to express the pain one suffers at the loss of a loved one, in my case my mother. Mike Shore came to see us at the house hours before she had passed and I asked him to please not have my father sign any documents yet. He was gentle, understanding and very patient with us.
He understood the pain and didn't push us into any hasty decisions nor sale. When the time came we called on him and he behaved like a true gentleman, genuine heart and wonderful understanding.
I know the decision is difficult and you will have many choices but I strongly recommend you speak to them because they
