Elder law is an area of legal practice that specializes on issues that affect the aging population. The purpose of elder law planning is to prepare the elderly person for financial freedom and autonomy through proper financial planning and long-term care options and issues related to health care, guardianship, retirement, Social Security, and Medicare/Medicaid.
Estate Planning is a lifetime plan. You do not have to be retired or wealthy to plan. A plan you establish as a young adult may be updated or changed from time-to-time. At first, there may not be enough assets for a trust, and then children may join the planning picture. Now there is need for a bigger plan to include guardians, life insurance, and college funds.
Probate: Even if you leave a will, everything an individual owns is going to pass through the probate process. Although you are not legally required to have an attorney, it is wise to have one. Your attorney can walk you through the probate process and prepare the documents needed. This is especially important if real estate or children are involved.
The Life Care Plan is a dynamic document based upon published standards of practice, comprehensive assessment, data analysis and research, which provides an organized, concise plan for current and future needs with associated cost for individuals who have experienced catastrophic injury or have chronic health care needs.

My experience was fantastic. I received veterans benefits after waiting for Veterans to respond. Takes a long time but well worth the wait. Thanks to Lisa and the rest of the staff that put up with me.

Mr Swain deserves an A+++. He got a potential wreck less driving by a minor totally dropped. He gave outstanding advice and had some sound safety guidelines to offer as well. Great job! Thank you so very much

My Mother-in-law applied for a VA Survivors Pension and we tried to
complete the forms ourselves, which was a HUGE mistake! We heard about Swain Law Firm and gave them a call. Thank goodness!! They were so very helpful! They were professional and very well versed in dealing with the VA and the paper work maze that is required. I can't thank them enough for their help in successfully getting my mother-in-law's pension approved. I would highly recommend them to anyone who need assistance with applying for a VA Survivors Pension.

Being a widow of a veteran I was aware that there is a survivor's pension, I could apply for. This Swain law firm is very well versed with the requirements of the Veteran's Administration and all the forms needed for me to apply. I could not have gone through the process without their experience and knowledge. They gave me precise instructions to follow for gathering the paperwork I needed to submit to the VA. It is a daunting process to try alone. I am forever grateful to the Swain's and their staff for their help. I received my pension in just a few months and it has made a huge positive financial
