Harold and Ida Markman started Markman's Diamonds and Fine Jewelry in 1976 and it has been owned and operated by the Markman family since then. Harold and Ida wanted everyone to feel comfortable when they walked through the doors at the store. They passed along their passion for jewelry to their son, Steve, who runs the company today.

The process for buying the engagement ring was perfect. they were on top of it and received everything in a timely matter.
when we purchased the wedding band it became a hassle. we ordered one ring and received a different one. they told me they would order the correct one and rush the order. 4 week lead time. 5 weeks rolls around no communication from the store. I stop in to ask about it and after a few phone calls it comes to find out they never placed the order.

Markman’s is fantastic! I worked with Jerry to get an engagement ring for my fiancée. I found the ring at a different store and needed to rush order it with Markman’s before I moved out of state. Not only did he get the ring there in time, but it was also way cheaper than the other store with the same ring. Once the ring came in, I had several different diamonds to choose from, and Jerry took his time and helped make sure the diamond was as perfect as the ring. By the time all of this happened, I was moving out of state in a matter of days, but I still needed the stone placed. Their jeweler

I shopped several stores for an engagement ring. After walking in Markman’s, I saw how the experience was supposed to be. We were guided, not forced, through the myriad of options and they helped us narrow things down. It was SO easy. I went back later and chose the ring myself and the staff was genuinely excited with me. From day one until the ring came in, they were true professionals and the epitome of service. I went to Marksman's to shop for a ring for the most special person in my life. I worked with Scott, who was an absolute pleasure. He took an inordinate amount of time with me in order to make sure I was given all of the information I could need to get the best result. Initial interaction was very welcoming and educational. They truly take the time to educate their buyers on the jewelry they are selling. This provides a confidence for the buyer when purchasing anything from Markman's.
After initial payment of the jewelry, I felt kind of in the dark on the status of the jewelry. I was initially told it would take between 4-6 weeks. When the end of week 5 rolled around and I still had not heard anything, I gave them a call. They were able to provide some closure on the status of the ring at that time. These people are way too amazing. As a clueless buyer Scott talked to me immediately and walked me through all the basics. And then we started looking at some options and he was very helpful in helping me pick! Christina was also super helpful throughout the whole process of finding, buying, and everything. We've been looking for our wedding bands and have been to so many places in Tennessee and Georgia. We went to Markman's today and spoke to Cathy, she was very helpful and knowledgeable. I had a great experience with Scott at the Chattanooga location. I purchased an engagement ring and wedding band for my girlfriend. We went back together to add my wedding band. Scott was very knowledgeable and professional. He provided a lot of time, patience and care during my 2-3 visits there. He did an incredible job of helping me find the perfect ring!
