Services
Michigan Foot & Ankle Specialists was founded in 2004 as a place for people of all ages to receive expert, thoughtful, and comprehensive podiatric care. Dr. Alexander Thomas is the current owner of the practice, having adopted it from Dr. Ali M. Safiedine in 2016. Our practice provides treatment for both acute injuries and chronic conditions, as well as preventative care to help prevent problems from developing or becoming worse.
Our mission is simple: give all patients the best foot and ankle care we can provide. This means not only determining the root cause of someone's pain and discomfort, but also the ways to address it that best fit a patient's needs and lifestyle. We outline some of our service specialties below, but please do not hesitate to reach out to us for any foot or ankle problems you may have.
Heel pain is one of the most commonly experienced foot and ankle conditions out there. Unfortunately, even for as often as we diagnose and treat it in our office, there are still many, many more people out there who haven't taken the step to deal with this daily discomfort.

Whether your heel pain is worst as soon as you hop out of bed in the morning, or tends to flare up after a jog or a long day standing at work, the vast majority of cases can be addressed in ways that provide significant or complete relief. When you are experiencing a pain every day-especially as part of your daily work day or routine-it is easy to fall into thinking that there's simply nothing you can do about it.
If you have not had success treating your persistent or chronic heel pain, it does not mean that your case is a lost cause. In fact, that's simply not true for most causes of heel pain in general. The vast majority of heel pain causes can be effectively treated - and without the need for surgery, either!
The Achilles tendon is the largest and strongest tendon in your body - but it also tends to be a frequent source of heel pain for many people! Achilles tendinitis is a problem we frequently see and treat at Michigan Foot & Ankle Specialists, so never delay in reaching out to us for the help you need.
