Dr. Nicole F. Velez is proud to be born in Pittsburgh, PA and practicing dermatology in her hometown for the past 6 years. Dr. Velez graduated Phi Beta Kappa and cum laude from Carnegie Mellon University and with Alpha Omega Alpha honors from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. She completed a combined internal medicine and dermatology residency at Harvard Medical School.

Pittsburgh Skin provides comprehensive dermatologic care and specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of all skin conditions. Regular skin exams are recommended for patients at risk for skin cancer, this includes patients with a history of skin cancer, family history of melanoma, tanning bed use, high number of moles or history of abnormal moles.
Dr. Velez has advanced training in skin surgery and has performed thousands of skin procedures for the removal of both benign and cancerous growths. Seeing a skin reconstructive surgeon such as Dr. Velez ensures that you are not only properly diagnosed, but also treated in the most cosmetically sensitive fashion.

What more can be said if you want to go to the Best Dermatologist in the North Eastern USA then look no farther than Dr. Nicole Velez. This is based on how much she cares and is really going to go through the effort of the entire battle you have with any skin care problem. I wish I could give her more stars because the dermatologist that referred me to her was an excellent dermatologist himself. I would not hesitate to refer either one and I have. My wife has already went there and my daughter's are going to be going there to. Believe if I trust anyone with my daughter's then I would refer her

I highly recommend Dr. Velez! From the moment I walked into the office I felt comfortable and welcomed by the staff. Dr. Velez looks into your eyes and explains in detail in a thoughtful, understanding manner. I never felt rushed and her compassion and genuine care for her patients was obvious. She even gave me her personal phone number to call at any time if I had a problem or concern after my Mohs Surgery. She personally called me that evening to see how I was doing - which I know she does for all of her patients. I wish all of my doctors were so attentive, confident and caring as Dr. Velez.

Exquisite individualized care from aloha to omega. Incredible experience all staff maintain a friendly, comfortable, knowledgeable practice. Nadine, PA, provided thorough information on each and every step as she performed minor procedure. She made sure I was prepared and comfortable. I appreciate the thoughtfulness and thoroughness that goes into explaining wound care and how to obtain follow up care-if needed. I would easily recommend this practice of dermatology to anyone looking for this type of care. From what I observed the staff cares for a wide range of dermatological issues.
