Established in Pittburgh, PA in 1982, we provide comprehensive skin care and medical dermatology for all ages. In addition we offer many options for cosmetic procedures and provide surgical treatments for skin cancers. Lois is the office manager who is a native of North Hills. She has graced the office for the past 8 years. She is a Pastor's daughter who continues to sing and play the organ in the same church she grew up in. She is empathetic, understanding and knowledgeble about the entire workings of the office and patient insurance plans.

HORRIBLE Dr and staff. Rude receptionist took my insurance card and never told me they weren't in network but still charged me for my co pay then sent me a 900 dollar bill. Tried to call them multiple times and office has been closed for vacation then training for a total of two weeks. Dr had no beside manners. Wouldn't recommend to anyone.

I have been a patient of Dr. Niren's for almost 25 years. He is professional in manner and highly intelligent. During the years, Dr. Niren has treated me for numerous basal cell carcinomas. The results have been both medically and cosmetically successful. Dr. Niren is attentive and compassionate, and has always exercised great wisdom and skill in addressing my medical concerns. Dealing with unexpected carcinomas is frightening and anxiety producing. Dr. Niren has been my dermatologist for many years and he always takes his time to ensure he's making the correct diagnosis. Dr. Niren is one of the most empathetic and brilliant physicians I have ever known. He is a researcher and an individual who truly gives his whole being to the problems of medicine whether it is in the field of skin cancer or cardiology. I totally trust and believe in his wisdom. He has been not only a highly competent doctor but also a gentle man whom I could discuss medical issues with....and know that his decisions were right. He saved me with his decisions when I needed help. He was never too busy to help. Dr. Niren is an invaluable human being and doctor.

Created an account to say how much you NEED to AVOID this man. He is morally reprehensible. He scheduled a follow up appointment with me. I asked if it was necessary and he said it was. Flash forward a month or so and my insurance (UPMC) refused to cover it saying it was medically unnecessary.
I am not a doctor, so I relied on him to know what was and was not medically necessary. Further, at the follow up, he did nothing, nothing at all!
I called his sniveling witch of a secretary to figure out why this was happening and she seemed (gleefully, might I add) aware of this problem. Apparently
