Our practice has a long history of providing quality, personalized care in Hillsboro. Dr. Joan Miller graduated from Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove and founded this practice in 1979. In 2006, Dr. Sarah Olmschenk graduated from Pacific University College of Optometry and joined Baseline Vision Clinic in 2015.

Optometrists Dr. Joan Ploem Miller and Dr. Sarah Olmschenk at Baseline Vision Clinic have over fifty years of combined experience giving quality eyecare services. We are accepting new patients, and accommodate all ages, from newborns to kids to teenagers to adults. We welcome your eyecare questions and concerns.
At Baseline Vision Clinic, we strive to provide comprehensive, primary eye care for the whole family. Preventative and routine eye exams are important to maintaining good eye health. Often, eye and vision problems do not have obvious symptoms or signs, but are easily diagnosed by a licensed optometrist.

Dr. Joan Miller is exceptional. This was my first visit to her office. The online history and info paperwork was simple, and easily done. Her staff is friendly and helpful. I was offered coffee, but there was no wait time. (They brought me some delicious coffee after the appointment. Unusual, but it made me feel like a special guest.)
I was warmly greeted by Dr. Miller and immediately put at ease. My visit was a medical vision concern.
It was obvious that Dr. Miller is knowledgeable and experienced, but also personable and caring.

Dr. Miller is the best! Every time I see her she takes the time to really listen to my concerns and works hard to make my eyesight the best it can be. Her patience is very much appreciated. And the office staff is great too! Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. I can’t recommend Dr. Miller and her team highly enough!

Thank you Dr. Sarah and her staff are great. Very pleasant and professional everybody. They have a very cutting edge equipment to see your eyes from every angle. Even from the inside-out. Thanks Dr Miller! It’s been about 15 years since my last Eye exam, you were extremely thorough your staff was very helpful and explained all the eye tests they ran on me. And you did a great job going over all the results with me. Even though I was border line on needing glasses I chose not get them at this time. And received no pressure from you to purchase a pair. This was the best customer service experience I've ever had in my life. Starting from the reception all through the entire process including the optometrist and the optician. Everyone was helpful and courteous. You will not likely find another more complete optometry experience anywhere else. I'm writing this review in hopes of others not having the same frustration, terrible service and overall incompetence this place gave me. This review is specific to their optical department.
I simply needed to order a replacement pair of eyeglass frames there were under warranty, and have them put the lenses from the old frames into the new ones once they came in. Seemed simple enough but they screwed everything up from start to finish. They gave false promises about calling me when the frames came in (never called, I had to chase them down time and again) and turned what was supposed
