I didn't take the typical path to becoming an attorney. My mom and I moved to the United States from Puerto Rico when I was a very young child, and we ended up in Kansas City where I grew up. After leaving high school in the tenth grade to attend Job Corps, I earned my GED and returned to Kansas City, where I joined the Marine Corps.

My auto accident took a ridiculously long time due to the stubbornness of the insurance company but Javier was persistent in representing me and he didn’t push me to just settle to get it over with. He was really a shining star in settling the outstanding medical bills (most reduced to zero), which netted me more in what I ultimately received. We contacted Philip Weylie after someone slammed into the back of the car while at a complete stop. It's difficult to know what steps to take without professional help, especially when your in shock of what just happened. Philip assisted in everything, even down to arranging the rental car.
