Feen Country Living was founded in the summer kitchen of our 18th-century farmhouse. At that time we were rehabbing it into a more comfortable home for our family of six children. Oil prices had risen tremendously, and oil embargoes were taking place. At that time people could only fill their gas tanks on a date based on the last digits of their license plates.
Trying to keep a home warm and also keep food on the table was a challenge for many. Thus we obtained our wonderful Jotul wood stove for which we had been on a waiting list. The cast-iron stove provided warmth and coziness. Best of all, it used no oil. Based on the scarcity of sources for wood stoves, and the instinct that many folks would be needing help in obtaining a stove, our business began.

Are you or do you know someone who needs a good job? Our family-owned business offers competitive starting wages. After a 90-day probationary period, full-time employees become eligible for individual health insurance, paid sick days, and holidays. We ask that you are motivated, willing to learn, and have reliable transportation to and from work.
Fireplaces provide warmth, comfort, and ambiance for your home and family. Feens Country Living has a wide selection of quality, brand-name wood, gas, and electric fireplaces from which to choose. Additionally, we sell and install glass fireplace doors. While it is likely the primary decorative element in the room, a fireplace is also the most functional one.
Retrofit your existing fireplace with a wood, gas, or pellet fireplace insert, converting it into a highly efficient source of heat for your home. Wood is the traditional fuel. It grows locally, is abundant in most areas, and is one of our few renewable sources of energy. Burning wood makes great sense from an environmental standpoint.
A freestanding wood-burning, gas, or pellet stove is a portable appliance that will efficiently heat your home. There are many styles from which to choose. Most stoves are made of steel, stone, or cast iron. Additionally, they may be finished with porcelain, enamel, or high-temperature paints in an array of colors.

I am not sure if they were ever good, but they seem to have given up. They seem to think that they are in the stove business, in my opinion, they and every other business are in the keep-your-customers-happy business. That requires communication. These people don't answer their phones, and don't return phone calls. If you do finally get someone, they will offer all kinds of lame excuses.
I bought a Vermont Casting Montpelier 2 stove from them. It has been a huge disappointment in several ways. One of those seems clearly to be a warranty and definitely a safety issue. I knew they

Had my pellet stove today. Chris the technician was early BIG PLUS. He was very help full also like how he layned runners from the front door all the way to the pellet stove so he would not dirty anything in our house. He was very helpful answering any questions I had. Also told me what i need to do to make it run more efficiently.

Went into shop, chose a see-through fireplace (gas), got all the information I needed. Called the shop to set up appointment for them to come out. Rec'd a call back, but instead of having my salesperson call me, he told her I needed specs. She sent specs. I emailed back that I would like to set up an appointment. Heard nothing. Called the shop and left her a message to call me to set up an appointment. Have not heard back. Terrible customer service; why would I bother to buy a stove there? If the don't even want the sale, then I can't imagine their customer service after the fact would be any good

Bought a propane stove from them a few years ago. It broke down last year and they came and repaired it charged me $265. It stopped working again so I went to the store. The owner was on a day off. An old guy talked to me and tried to talk me into buying a new one for 3 grand. I told him to have the owner call me back. One month later no return call. My friend told me to call my propane provider. They sent their tech over and fixed it in a half an hour.
Poor customer service I will never do business with Feens again.

We started the process of selecting a wood stove and went to the showroom to speak with a professional about something to fit our needs and budget. We were able to get an excellent price on what would be a tricky install. The technicians were extremely knowledgeable and the install process went without a hitch.

I purchased 3 units from these folks 10 years ago when I built my house. I am still getting first class service. Right now is their busy time for service and are backed up. I needed a pilot lit and I got service within a few days. It would have been sooner but I had to cancel the first appointment. They are a family run business that has like any other small business good days and bad days. I would not hesitate to buy from them again.

I agree with others here that the good customer service ends at the point of sale.
I bought a gas stove just over a year ago and now in early winter, the pilot keeps going out. I called on a Monday and left a message with a young lady. I finally got a call back 3 days later, only after I called back the day after my initial call. I was told they couldn't get a service technician over to come out for almost 3 weeks. The reason, I was told, was that their only service technician quit and they were using a guy who fills in for a couple of days a week. I have had similar experience in

The Feen's team is so customer focused and is driven to assure a great user experience. We've been dealing with them for years and there isn't a weak link on this team- everyone is friendly, knowledgeable, professional and responsive...from the owner to the sales staff to the service team. We bought a gas insert years ago and it's the best thing we ever did for our house..so cozy! The periodic service requirements are all handled by Feen's and they've made it easy.
I'm honestly surprised to see a review with a bad experience as all I know who have done business

At least the previous reviewer was sold a fireplace insert. I couldn't even get Bob (the owner) to sell me a wood stove with installation! The day before I talked to Bob (the owner), I called to get a price on a Jotul as well as a rough estimate for installation. I told the salesperson where we lived and they said it's no problem; it could even be installed before Christmas. Feen's is 15-20 minutes from us. The next day I called to officially place the order and ask for a formal quote for everything--we were ready to go ahead. I was forwarded to Bob (the owner), who hemmed
