We want our clients to have the quality, style and comfort fit that they deserve! Carolyn Hearne opened, what was then known as Berthoud Mercantile in the town of Berthoud, CO in 1974.
The original store focused mainly on handmade jewelry with a small selection of clothing. When Carolyn bought her first pair of Birkenstocks in 1976 her knee pain disappeared, and she realized that everyone should have a pair, so she started selling them! Carolyn moved to Greeley in 1986 and opened Hearne's Fine Goods out of the front room of her 100 year old Victorian house.

Founded in 1990 by Mandy Cabot and Peter Kjellerup, Dansko's mission is to improve the quality of people's lives through great products, sincere passion and a commitment to a better tomorrow. Former horse trainers, Mandy and Peter sought the perfect "barn shoe." They found it in a in a tiny shop in Europe - the traditional clog.
