My husband and I were camping at Whitewater State Park, which had no cell service.
While in town shopping, I got a call that both my parents tested positive for Covid and were not doing very well. We decided to look for a place to stay, so we would have phone service and drive home in the morning.
I saw the White Valley Motel across the street. I called to see if they had a room available. They did, so we went there and paid $116. for the room.
The employee on duty walked us to the room and opened the door for us because he stated the door is tricky to open. We walked in the room and got a call

My 2 daughters, my 5 month old granddaughter and I arrived at the motel saturday April 11th around 2am after 15hrs of driving, we were exhausted. My husband called ahead and was told the room was $65 when he charged my card tho it was $85.. Got into our room and the floor was fillthy. My daughter pulled back the blanket to find a bug sleeping on her pillow..(I looked it up on google lense and it was a silverfish) she took the baby and went back to the car. I went to the office and let him know about the bug and that we didn't want to stay there. He said there was no bugs, so I pulled up the picture

Not terrible, pros: has microwave mini fridge, and coffee maker. Double beds with a wall dividing them which was nice. Pet friendly, a few swings in front yard area. Cons: Sheets were not clean. Shower sprayed straight out, with no way to angle down, so floor got very wet. Expensive pet deposit.

You can't beat white valley for the price. Rooms are large and clean. Decor is a bit dated but the carpet and comforter are newer. Fresh clean linens and comfortable bed. There is a nice courtyard with shade trees, picnic table and swings. Management is friendly and helpful.
