Services
Any person registering for a campsite must be 18 years of age and be responsible for all members of their group. Please refer to our cancellation policy and campground rules. A two night stay is required on weekends; three nights on a holiday weekend. The five room lodge at Eagle Cliff is popular, and books up quickly.
With proximity to the Root River Trail (access is 1/6th of a mile from edge of our property), and location on the Root River, outdoor activities are an excellent way to experience the beauty of this area. Eagle Cliff offers a variety of rentals, including: canoes, kayaks and tubes. You do not need to stay with us to do outfitting rentals.
While across the river from the Root river state trail, you can get on 1/3 of a mile away. We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful campground near Lanesboro, MN. The campsite was roomy with a nice picnic table and fire ring (provided). The camp restrooms and showers were clean, but do cost money, 25 cents for 4 minutes.

Beautiful area. We stopped for overnight only, a lot of seasonal sites, looks clean and kept up. Very large campground with only two buildings with showers and bathrooms. Throughout the property they have those construction site toilets. At check in the lady was really grumpy borderline rude. If you’re looking for a quiet place this is not it, kids are unsupervised. With that said we will love to go back and explore the area. No cell connection for Verizon or Sprint.

We stayed for the second time at Eagle Cliff Campground and both times experience was great. Very friendly staff and well thought, clean and organized campground. Camp sites are big and offer plenty of room and privacy and lazy river is great for both kids and adults to enjoy. Definitely a must visit place

Literally the WORST camping experience I’ve ever experienced-not so much in the campground itself (I highly recommend the area as it’s gorgeous with all the bluffs) but the staff and couple who runs this place are hands down some of the rudest/fowl mouthed people. If you’re looking for a nice, family friendly place to enjoy a campfire and relaxing-this is not the place to go. Looks are very deceiving. Many other options in the area-I highly recommend staying clear of here.

So much fun! We tented in the C tenting area and the sites are super clean. They are a bit smooshed together, but it's a private campground and we still had good space all in all. Great activities, super awesome tubing down the river and the staff in the office were very welcoming and friendly. Particularly Rachel, she was our fave! Genuine, kind and caring. We were already talking and making plans to come back next year. Thanks for the fun weekend!

Eagle Cliff Campgrounds is a quiet campground great for families. You can tent camp with a group, bring your RV, or rent a cabin. The grounds are clean and well maintained with friendly staff.
These guys offer canoeing, kayaking, and tubing options and the Campgrounds is located on the river. Bring your bikes and take a ride to Lanesboro for lunch or dinner. Buy a snack, pie, or delicious icecream along the way.

An absolutely AMAZING campground! The owners, Dan & Melanie are fantastic. They go above & beyond to see every guest has a wonderful stay with them. The staff are all friendly & always willing to help if needed, as are the owners. The campground sites are spacious with thick green grass. The grounds & facilities are clean & immaculate, with beautiful large playyards for kids. It's obvious the priority is to be family centered. We've been coming here for several years. It would be very difficult to find another campground to equal Eagle Cliff. I highly recommend experiencing this campground. So

We've been coming to this campground for our family get togethers for years. We love that it has hotel rooms too for those who aren't "campers". It makes it the perfect compromise for everyone! They take excellent care of the grounds and have exceptionally clean bathroom facilities. Highly recommend!

What an phenomenal experience. We're 1st timers here and I can whole heartily say Eagle Cliff Campground is going to be a yearly thing!! This was hands down the best campground I have ever stayed at!! Dan AND Mel are wonderful... I have never EVER stayed at a campground that you see so much staff!!! They're always on carts making sure noise is down and everyone is staying safe-well into the early morning hours!! They made sure our weekend was the best experience ever!! You will be begging to come back here!! Stunningly beautiful sights and so much to do!!! 5 stars just doesn't seem like enough

Eagle Cliff Campground is the MOST beautiful campground I have ever stayed at. The grass is like carpet and the shower houses (yes plural) are immaculate. They have friendly, helpful staff and a supply of firewood, ice, and almost anything you may have forgotten to bring. And no mosquitoes…seriously!!! The have live music throughout the summer as well as BINGO, bean bag tournaments, giant connect four and A-hole games to rent (see calendar). If you haven’t stayed there yet, you’re missing out! Plan ahead as they fill up fast! See ya soon, at Eagle Cliff Campground!
