Our mission is to assist with filling unmet needs in the areas of Nutrition, Education and Connection serving the residents of Jones County. The Filling Station's mission is to assist with filling the unmet needs in the areas of nutrition, education, and connection serving the residents of Jones County.

Our Title Sponsor is Carolina East Health System. This week Mrs. Knight reads Come Out and Play, Little Mouse by Robert Kraus, and On Sunday I Lost My Cat by Jan Deemers. With weather delays and paving company schedules, our celebration went VIRTUAL. We are seeking to broaden the scope of the mission of The Filling Station through community partnership.
Services
Why the Filling Station name? During a walk-through of the building, someone noticed a red hazardous material warning sign with a flame and the number 1075, the DOT classification for propane. The group discovered that Psalm 107:5 read: "They were hungry and thirsty; their lives were slipping away."
Registration Form has been waived during this time. We will follow the recommendation of the Food Bank of Central and Eastern NC to begin our registration process in the coming months. Great little lunch spot and the service was probably the best I have had anywhere. Stopped in this week while I'm town for work, tea never got below half and my food was out in a flash even tho they were packed when I got there!

Fyi: Cash only
It's a bit of a blast from the past. The dinner really feels like the 80s.
They serve standard diner breakfast/lunch items at yesterday's prices.
The staff is very friendly and attentive.
It's definitely worth checking out if you're on a road trip and seeking something more county authentic.
Unless you're passing through on the weekends since they're only open on weekdays.

A nice find on our way to the beach. Nothing fancy but good food and Very friendly staff and clean. Mostly locals seem to eat here.
I had a pork chop sandwich that reminded me of my childhood in TN. :)
I will defiantly stop by again.
Thanks Y'all!

O dear lord. This spot is the best. Everything I ate was fantastic. I ate my boyfriends food and mine. And we both got dessert. But amazing. I can't rave enough about this place.

Very GOOD lunch spot in Kenansville! Cheeseburger was tasty, friends and I shared, fries, onion rings and potato popper sides. All cooked perfectly, onion rings I could bite without the whole onion ring pulling out, they were just right! Poppers had a light kick from the jalepeno, delicious, and fries had crunchy outsides, soft insides, another just right! I and my friends recommend you drive past the fast food and come here.

Plain, delicious food! Took my stepsister and brother-in-law for lunch. He all but licked his plate and said he was sure the hamburger steak gravy would make the paper plate it was served on delicious.
They are open for breakfast and lunch only, Monday thru Friday. The menu is simple. They have daily specials in the $5 range. The pork roast, hamburger steak, hamburgers and ribeye sandwich are all delicious. The fish stew on Fridays is so good and for under $5 it is the best deal anywhere. Order cornbread with it and you will not be disappointed.
If you plan to eat lunch in, get there

I was on a quest for some good coffee, and stumbled across this little cafe. Well low a be holed they were out of coffee as it was pushing 11am. So I'm bummed out now and ask to see a menu. I go straight to the desserts and dang they had some good stuff on it. Now I wanted to know if they made them (stupid question) yes they do. So I got some banana pudding and a piece lemon pie with blueberries in it. Sorry no photos as this place is so small I didn't want to offend their customers. This is my first time here and my run by again. The food must be good as the place was packed. All the
