Got these tattoos at Mt. Vernon Body Art studio, and I think it was the best decision for me as a first timer to go with. Took me months to find a proper place that suited the style I wanted to get my ink in. Justine was my tattoo artist and she ran down the whole process and healing process very professionally. Highly recommend this place, and I will soon be returning.

I was googling piercing shops in the area and stumbled across Mt. Vernon Body Art, which had fantastic reviews on multiple platforms. I can say the fantastic reviews are well-deserved. I came here for help with my ear piercings and to get a new cartilage earring with Matt. I am a big baby about pain but Matt was so kind and professional! Got my septum pierced by Matt on 1/14/22. He was extremely polite and professional. He went through and explained all of the sterilization measures that they go through. I didn't like their selection of nose rings. I felt they were a little high-priced, however Matt did give me a couple of different companies to take a look at and possibly order from their website afterwards which I loved.
I bounced around some ideas to him which he answered accordingly. Overall, amazing experience and I will definitely go back to see Matt again. 🤘🏾

Matt pierced my septum. It was my first piercing and he made sure I felt comfortable by answering all my questions and not rushing me when I was looking at jewelry for the new piercing. He was very professional, clean, and made sure I understood and consented to all the steps during the piercing. He even offered to order custom jewelry once the piercing heals to change into. I would recommend Matt for anyone’s first piercing and hope to go back for another one soon. Overall, the shop was very clean and everyone there was very friendly and patient.

Really enjoyed my experience with Matt at Mt. Vernon Body Art! Came in on my birthday to re-pierce my nostril after losing my ring over the summer. I thought it had closed completely because I tried to stick another ring in with no luck and was fully prepared for a new piercing. When I mentioned this to Matt he said it's possible it's still open and he could try to see if it was by inserting a blunt rod that's the same gauge as my piercing was to 1. save me the trouble of the piercing healing process and allow for the hoop size I wanted and 2. save me some coin as they would only be charging me

I wanted to get my septum pierced and went here based solely on the positive reviews of their piercer, Matt. I'm happy to say my experience definitely lived up to the positive reviews! Matt was friendly, knowledgeable, and explained every step of the process while continually making sure I was comfortable with the experience. The shop was clean, everyone inside was friendly, and the cost was reasonable and affordable. If I ever need another piercing, this will definitely be my first choice! Highly recommend to anyone looking to get pierced in the Baltimore area.

Came here about 3 weeks ago because my ear lobe piercing was swelling up and I thought the the back of my earring fell off. Currently, they are by appointment only and I was able to pick up an appointment the same day. Masks are required when inside.
Matt was really informative and cleaned up my piercing for me then magically my piercing healed within two days! Their studio is very clean and Matt changed his gloves at least 3 times just to check on my piercing! Will probably be back here to get my jewelry changed.

I’ve had two piercings done by Matt, and it’s always a great experience! He’s kind, informative, and includes you on how the process works every step of the way. The shop is clean and efficient and they work closely with you to make sure you get exactly what you’re after. Matt is extremely talented and professional and I’ve never had an issue with piercings done by him. Have gotten two piercings from here, a conch and a forward helix. Very clean and friendly. Easy healing for the most part and felt very reassured throughout the process. Matt shows you how the equipment is sterilized before he pierces you so you know what's about to be used on you is clean. The only reason for 4 stars is that their follow-up service isn't that great. Matt said to email him questions, ideas for another piercing, and if I had any issues with my piercings but then he never got back to me (3 emails). In addition, I asked if I got multiple piercings, could I get a group discount

Just got tattooed today!!! Loving it!!!! Clay did an awesome job. It took him 2 hours to finish. I was hesitated to do this on my arm because I will be seeing it every single day. Just got my ankle tattooed two weeks ago by the lovely and talented Anastasia ! She took about 40 minutes to do a small Hermes shoe on my right ankle which was surprisingly quick considering how it was my first tattoo and I was under the impression it would've taken much longer. She was great in reassuring my concerns and fears on getting my first tattoo. The ambience of the tattoo parlor was really chill and amicable. All the artists Clay and Matt were working on sketches for potential clients and they were both very personable and chatted with me and my boyfriend. I highly recommend stopping

Just got my conch pierced recently by Matt. Quick, easy, and most importantly clean! This shop uses needles, not guns. The piercing is 40 dollars plus the cost of your choice of jewelry. They have a great selection and can special order pieces. I got mine done with a gem cluster piece that was anodized rose gold. It is gorgeous and I keep looking at it in the mirror.
I paid $93 for it. But its worth the cost for a piece you plan on having with you for awhile. You get what you paid for. I will come back!!

I've been working with Clay on a two part series for my biceps. I couldn't be happier with the first piece and really looking forward to the second. I tend to like to move from artist to artist every few pieces just to have a diversity of styles, but I'm impressed enough that I may just end up winding these into whole sleeves done by him.
I gave him pretty free license with design and despite my sort of scatter shot of suggestions he really pulled it into something beautiful.
The shop is in a shopping center in Mt. Vernon so parking is easy. His hourly rate is really reasonable
