My car started making a dragging sound as I got off the freeway. They were able to figure it out and fix it super quickly. They were also very kind to my mother and helped her into the office with air conditioning and brought her some cold water. They went above and beyond to make an a rough day (funeral) better.

After taking my car to this shop and paying $1,300 for a repair they assured me would fix the issue, to my surprise my car one again broke down just weeks later. I took it in again and asked what in the world the issue was. I was told there was a new issue that was causing my car to break down which had absolutely nothing to do with the issue. They said they would fix it for cheap so I decided to try them one last time. This time not to my surprise it fixed absolutely nothing. This was after going back and forth and me telling them that I strongly believe that what they are trying to fix has nothing

After leaving Los Angeles in my '99 Honda Civic during a heatwave, my car overheated and broke down. The next morning I heard the worst news from a shop in El Cajon. "Blown head gasket". The price? $1100. Waited 2 days in nearby hotel. Picked it up and paid and resumed my cross country trip. And a couple hours after I left I noticed my temp gauge going up and down. Especially when idling. I was concerned but continued on w/out using my AC through Las Vegas and into Utah. By the time I got to Provo, Utah, I could not sit at an traffic light for 30 seconds w/out the temp spiking

I needed help getting my truck to pass emissions. I stopped by a couple auto shops and they couldn't get me in fast enough, i stopped by IM auto and they got me in immediately. While i expected it to be a fairly quick job it came to be a lot more complicated and work for the auto shop then expected. They were very kind and reasonable and even stayed true to the original price that they had offered before it came to be a much more difficult job. The mechanic Pablo got it done in a timely manner and communicated well. Now my truck passed emissions. Highly recommend!!

Exceeds expectations!! We pulled in at closing time on a Friday with a broken muffler. He fixed/welded it in 20 mins and gave us an amazing price. I was so pleased with how nice they were too.
To top it all off, he showed exactly how he fixed it. Most mechanics don't do that.

My experience has been completely opposite some of the other posts here. While it is true that the people don't speak much English, my wife and I have consistently received MUCH lower costs using IM Auto. They've recognized us when we have come in and gone the extra mile so many times.

We have had brakes fixed for $225 less than we were quoted by a national chain in Colorado.

We have had the costs of jump starts, adjustments and other labor totally waived.

Family members we've recommended to them have saved hundreds as well (my mother-in-law saved about $400 on OEM part replacement

Seriously! I *need* to be able to give negative stars! After filing a complaint with the BBB about our horrible service, the shop came back with a page long reply literally FULL of lies about what happened. These guys MUST be avoided at all costs! I am being 100% honest when I say I would rather push my car 5 miles to a Jiffy Lube for service rather than to come back here!

One thing you should know is this guy knows little about cars and even less English. I do know Spanish so I tried to tell him the problem and all I can come away thinking is it wasn't my lack of Spanish but his lack of intelligence about vehicles. I know this to be true when I went to another Spanish speaking mechanic and he fixed my issue right away.
