This is a talk I did about my DJ business at my referral group; Truckee Meadows Networking. It contains a lot of good information about all the things I do to help make your wedding a success. You always want to hire a DJ that is willing to meet with you for a consultation, to make sure everything is perfect on your special day.
Over the years, I've seen lots of elaborate and expensive centerpieces at weddings. Yes they are beautiful, but I've found that some of the most memorable ones are those that are inexpensive DYI centerpieces. I've often had people ask me if we we're going to get the chance to meet before their event.

Services
If you are planning a business or social occasion and are considering enhancing your event with a professional DJ and music service, selecting the one that will truly be appreciated by everyone is not an easy task. I have been a DJ for many years and have worked with a wide range of age groups, and venues.
One of the biggest differences between a DJ and a band is the ability of the DJ to help organize an event and help it stay on schedule. Whether its a wedding, company party, birthday party or vendor event, the DJ/MC plays an integral part in it's success. This is one of the areas where experience plays a big role in the DJ/MC's ability to fulfill this job.
One of the first questions that I get from a potential client is how much and what kinds of music do I have. I have been in the industry for many years and as a result have amassed a song list of tens of thousands of songs in all sorts of time periods and genres. As we all know however, there are literally millions of songs out there.
When I ask does your DJ have a backup, I am talking about his or her equipment. First of all we need to look at what type of equipment your DJ has. Is it professional grade or is it something that is used at home and just brought to the event. If its not professional grade, that can be your first sign of a problem.
The biggest outdoor wedding mistake a couple can make, is not to have a backup plan. It's easy just to "keep your fingers crossed" and hope that the weather is beautiful, but if the weather goes bad it can ruin your special day. If there is no building to save you, consider spending the money to rent a STURDY tent for everyone.

I can't believe it's almost been 10 years since my husband and I hired Joe for our wedding in Genoa... It is still the best day of my life, and I have Joe to thank for helping to make our wedding day so memorable--especially the reception!
My husband's brother and sister also used Joe for their weddings--he's that good--and of course, he did not disappoint. My sister-in-law got married May 2019, and even after almost 10 years, Joe is still amazing at what he does. I honestly feel like Joe's goal is to do whatever he can to make you and your guests happy, all while bringing

Joe did a great job! I had my worries and reservations prior to the wedding, but he rolled with the punches and did a fantastic job. At 10pm when we went from land to the afterparty on the boat, it was a bit unorthodox, and he was a trooper making sure that the equipment got setup in a fast and timely manner. We partied until 1am on that boat, and his music made 3 hours feel like half an hour. GREAT TIMES!!! Thanks a million Joe!! We are grateful!

My daughter's wedding was absolutely perfect, in no small part to Joe Metzgar. We were looking for a low-key, yet professional DJ and emcee for the wedding, and we found it in Joe. He kept us running smoothly, played great music, kept us dancing all night long ... my 78-year-old mother danced herself silly! We had a great time, and I can't thank Joe enough. He listened to our requests, made great suggestions, was completely approachable but professional and... well, he was excellent. I highly recommend him, and would absolutely use him again!!
