Had a wonderful experience at the Chelsea. Quiet and affordable, you canโ€™t beat the lushness as well. And there are so many mushrooms in the yard !
WiFi was spotty but itโ€™s the mountains so duh, and itโ€™s always nice to disconnect a bit.
Thank you Chelsea Motel!

In better conditions and better kept than Super 8 and others although with limited amenities, also quiter and in a nicer wooded setting, a hot water heater (or some hot water from the office) and a simple chair would already be a significant improvement, however, I slept well and didn't mind the few extra dollars.

A real gem!
My personal preference is to stay in the "Mom & Pop" motels. I've travelled 10's of thousands of miles across the US and after a long day I like nothing more than a quiet, clean, well kept, safe, motel to relax and recharge.
Dave and his wife take great pride, and excellent care, of their business which they took over from her parents.
It's a wonderful, quiet location, on a scenic highway and I simply can't recommend it highly enough!

Very clean and a super nice couple who are on site and they were always accommodating. I would recommend staying in the rear building as it was more rustic and appealing. The front building faces a road. Nothing fancy but clean and close to what we needed visiting Wallkill.

Cleanest motel / hotel I've ever stayed at. It was absolutely perfect inside, not one speck of dust or dirt. We stayed for half a week and loved it. Can get pricey if you have kids but other than that, loved everything about it.

I found it perfectly fine. Clean, comfortable and affordable. The bed was firm if your into that sort of thing. Had trouble getting on the wifi but for the price, that would be gravy anyway.

Stayed here earlier in the year to visit some friends at New Paltz/Marist. The room was clean, had an in-wall AC (not centrally managed). Heat was also separate. For what you pay, the room had a good amount of space (double bed).

The check-in time and check-out time were reasonable, and the person who gave us our room key was very nice. You absolutely can't beat the price, and for what you pay, it's nice.

The road the motel is on isn't the quietest, but the motel is perched a bit up a hill, and a bit back as well, so it's more than quiet enough for sleeping. Also, riding on
