Dr. Nelsa Losada is a board certified developmental optometrist. She obtained her bachelor of science in Biology for the University of South Florida in 1984. She received her doctorate in optometry from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 1991. Dr. Losada worked for a year with an ophthalmologist examining patients pre and post surgery as well as treating infections and glaucoma.
Dr. Losada opened her own practice in 1992. She has been practicing in the Southwest Orlando are for 26 years. She is fluent in Spanish. Dr. Losada has a daughter, Janel who is a lawyer, and a son, Alex who is attending college. Alex is doctor Losada's son and helps his mom with the family business.

Our family is on a Universal Studios family vacation and our son ripped his contact lens - and brought no spares. Losada vision to the rescue! They quickly and kindly checked to see they had his prescription in stock and put them aside for us. Super convenient location to Universal and immensely courteous staff. If we lived in the area we would definitely be patients there!

The doctor is excellent but the staff is not helpful. My wife had many problems getting the correct prescriptions over the past 3 months and the staff just complains that they are very busy and don't have time to address issues. They also never let me talk to the doctor to make her aware of the problems. I will probably need to make an appointment just to let her know what she would probably like to be made aware of. So many times a doctors practice is ruined by a poor staff.

The whole family goes here. I always feel welcome. They have frames that are covered 100% and all the way up to designer names.
They now have the computer eye test which was really great. And they always take their time with the kids and make sure everything is just right!
I always feel we have good options that fit into any budget.

I've been a patient for well over a decade. The office is going through some transitions with staffing and have experienced several challenges. Billing patients incorrectly for services not provided and having patients pay out of pocket seems to be a pattern. Please familiarize with yourself with your insurance plan so you do not fall victim. I was unsure why I was paying $50 out of pocket for an exam that in the past has always been $0. My insurance confirmed that the office charged me incorrectly and they spent a few days trying to get me a refund since the office was not answering their

I was having excruciating eye pain and they took me in immediantly. Their staff is very friendly and helpful. I am very lucky that I stumbled across them when I did. Turns out that my eye was severely damaged and they were able to put a contact lens bandage on it and took alot of consideration and time to making certain that not only was I to become pain free but make certain that my eye healed properly.
