We have immediate openings for experienced Pipe Crew workers and Heavy Equipment Operators. David H. Martin Excavating, Inc. started out in 1968 with one man, a dump truck, and a backhoe. Today we have more than 200 employees, a large fleet of dump trucks and a vast assortment of excavation equipment.
Our fleet of heavy iron is ready to work. Projects from $5 to $10 million are not uncommon for us. Wal-Mart, Lowes, Wegman's, Target, and large scale warehouses are just a few of the projects we routinely complete. DHM has the tools to get your job done right, on time, and on budget. Our team of experienced superintendents, foremen, and equipment operators produce higher quality, cost-effective projects.
Slate and slate fill are excavated directly out of the ground and sold as a commodity directly to the public. As with all slate, the size of the pieces do vary. Although at times it may be difficult to accomplish, we do our very best to provide slate that is uniform in size. Our slate has many uses which are usually determined by the type.
Performance of employee services in work places free of unnecessary hazards is a hallmark of our operating methods. Safety continues to be an important and integral aspect of the success of David H. Martin Excavating, Inc. Our commitment to employee safety is continuously growing on a daily basis. We understand that the success of our company relies on the completion of our contractual obligations without interruption and/or delay.
All positions require the individual to be at least 18 years of age, have a valid driver's license, and be able to pass random drug testing (pre-employment drug testing is required). Supervise a crew of heavy equipment operators and pipe layers in site preparation, installation of pipe, underground utilities, waterlines, and storm & sanitary sewer.

I had a bad first interaction with a different excavator, who wanted me to change my plans and quoted me an unreasonable price when I wouldn’t. David H Martin was a breath of fresh air. They were knowledgeable, quick, attentive, and willing to do the project how I wanted it done. Their pricing was better too! I’ve now used them for a second project with equally as good of an experience! I wouldn’t use anyone else!

Thank you David H Martin Excavating! It was the best experience anyone could hope for and for the best price. From the beginning till end, Brad Kuhns was available for any questions or concerns and always got back to me in a timely manner. He was even very understanding with my husband and I when we made last minute changes when the job had already started. As for the excavating team; I can't say thank you enough.
