This place has the worst customer service I've ever received. I was asking the tailor for alteration service of two pants within a day and he goes that's $10 extra because you want it within a day. I tried to negotiate if he can go lower, and he threw my clothes away and say if you don't like the price here are your clothes. Besides that the place is a heap of second-hand clothes everywhere. Please save your time and money by going to another tailor, that's what I did. Stay away and don't get duped by the "French name" and the shop being in the best area of Cambridge

Amazing tailoring for an affordable price in a timely manner. I am delighted I checked out le couturier and as a super petite lady ..I'll be coming back often as I've never bought a pair of pants I didn't need to get hemmed.
The dress I brought in now fits perfectly and no one would ever know it was tailored despite it having to be let out a bit in the back.

I brought my wedding dress to be altered at Le Couturier House of Alterations. Richard provided excellent service along with the seamstress who does all of the wedding alterations, Maria. They were able to hem my dress, take it in on the sides, and add a three-point bustle in under three weeks and for a very reasonable price. They're work is impeccable - you cannot even tell where the alterations were made because the tailoring work is so excellent.

I recently visited the new location on MA Ave and was very impressed. Le Couturier continues impress me with their care and craftsmanship. The new space, which houses an impressive collection of vintage men's clothing (and women's soon!), is just the cherry on top. I find my recommending this business all the time.

Went here years ago and loved it. BEWARE: the place that is now at this address is terrible. I went there and was told it was the same place "new name" and "we're partners." It's not true at all, they are NOT the same business. The business there right now messed up a bridesmaid dress I brought it and when I tried to ask for him to fix it he told me it wasn't wrong. I won't post a photo bc I don't want anyone scrolling to think it's for this actual place! Go to their website and find their new address because this ain't it baby and you will

I took my entire wardrobe to these guys - suits, shirts, pants, t-shirts, sweatpants, scrubs ... even socks! haha totally not joking.
You'll never look at a suit the same way again.
Advice: always ask for the owner to measure you if you are altering a suit.

Disappointed.
Went shorten a pair of jeans with ruffles edge. For a simple work as cutting 2 inch of fiber then sew back the ruffle here's the result. I couldn't imagine how a sewing machine do such a bad job at keeping a straight line. My own hand sewing would look better than this and won't take a week.
I feel bad leave a negative review but things happen for a reason. I'm glad I didn't test with a more complicated request and my black pant won't reveal too much.
Feel your courage before bringing more complicated work for them.

This place came highly recommended to me by a few friends from school, so I decided to give it a try.
From the reviews, it seemed like the prices were going to be reasonable, however, I think $45 dollars for a straight hem of a dress was a bit on the expensive side. Perhaps I would come back if I had more complicated work to be done, but I won't come back for the simpler items.

Through the sketchy door, up the stairs, and around the corner on the right.
Once you get into the actual store, you realize Le Couturier is a place for professionals. There's not a lot of space, but all interactions have been very professional. I got a dress hemmed ($25), and it looks great.
Guy at the counter gave me a little judgement for using credit card instead of cash, but he accepted it after I told him I didn't have any cash on hand.

Quick, attentive service - they shortened my wedding gown by over 6 inches, and used the material from that to add a simple sash.
There was a miscommunication about the bow I wanted on the sash, but I'll take the blame there for being too vague. They made it right, and I ended up with a dreamy wedding gown!
I forgot to ask for a bustle to be added, which was a problem during the dancing. I didn't have much of a train, just a few inches, but it would have been nice if they'd thought of that for me. I ended up borrowing safety pins from my photographer and having an ugly bunched

I had a great experience here. I had a floor-length gown that I wanted taken up by about 6 inches since it was too long for me. I visited 3 or 4 other tailor shops in Harvard and Central Square and received quotes ranging from $45-$60. Le Couturier quoted me only $40, so I decided to give them a try. They were efficient and professional, and I received my gown back with the hem at exactly the right length. Their prices seem to be the most reasonable compared to all of the other tailor services around the area.

I love this place. They altered my WEDDING DRESS from a size 8 to a size 2. Mr. Robasson is so amazing. He is so nice and down to business. No bullcrap or waisting my time. Each appointment I was in and out in 30 minutes or less. I felt so comfortable while being there, and he was very confident, there was no doubt in my mind that he knew what he was doing. I should also mention that most wedding dress alterations take over 4 months !!! I needed my wedding dress in less than 2 months, and they for sure delivered ! I will never go anywhere else to get something altered. My wedding
