Great place to stay! Bathrooms and shower house were very clean and well maintained. Firewood and Ice on-site without paying more than in town. The owners are friendly and great to work with, we asked for two sites with hook-ups facing each other to camp with the kids and they happily accommodated us.
Highly recommend and will be staying here next on a return trip to the UP.

Love the layout of this campground, can’t imagine why more aren’t using this model— well spaced sites and close to hiking and the lake.
It’s really far, however, to any kind of medical care— had an allergic reaction to a couple bug bites and just had to deal with it— another tourist, an on/gyn came up to us while we were searching a store for a remedy and gave us advice, thank goodness

Spent a week at Kritter's Northcountry Campground. The sites were large and well maintained. The shower house was clean!! The owner's were super friendly and helpful. They have ice and firewood available for purchase right on the grounds. If you are looking for a great place to stay located not far from the local attractions look no more, this is where you want to be!!

I usually don't write reviews but felt compelled to after a visit here. I appreciate a hard worker and the couple who own the campground are just that. Not only do they work their tails off but they do so with a smile. They are super friendly and work day and night to make your stay enjoyable. The campground (including bathrooms which was most important to me) was super clean and the other campers were friendly. We spent two days here after staying at a more modernized campground and enjoyed Kritter's 100x more. I would recommend them to anyone and hopefully be able to visit them again in the future

What a gem of a campground! Privately owned and very well-taken care of. Large, grassy sites and clean, modern bathrooms. Laundry mat available too. Close to Tahquamenon Falls and centrally located for most other attractions in the U.P. The owners were attentive and very nice!! Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

We stayed here for four evenings with full hookups on level site 34. Spacious sites with fire pit (great and big heap of wood for $5) and picnic table. The bathrooms were extremely clean and maintained, as was the laundry. Everything at the store was fairly priced (ice $2, vicks vapor rub $2 helps with flies in area, etc. Larry and his family went above and beyond to help us with plans to see area and other suggestions. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We had a great time at Kritter's Northcountry. We stayed in one of their cabins which were extremely functional, comfortable and clean. Larry and Kathy were both fantastic hosts. They have great knowledge of the area. We came with no agenda, we wanted to figure things to do as we went. Larry and Kathy's recommendations were spot on. They all hit and we had a blast as a family. Our family made many memories we'll never forget. We appreciate everything they put into their business. Their hard work, dedication and love for their business is very apparent. We'll for sure be back to Kritters.

We stayed at Kritter's for 5 nights. Beautiful campground, friendly staff and clean facilities. Choosing a campground can be challenging because you don't know what you will get. We travelled over 400 miles and we were not disappointed! I would return there anytime and recommend it. We had 3 campers and a tent the the sites were large to not feel cramped. :-)

Best campground I've been to in a long time. Larry is so nice. The facilities were very clean. Our dog Otto got hurt (on our truck) and Larry was so kind he went above and beyond to help us out, he even came back after our vet visit and checked on him. He is just the nicest guy. We have found our new spot.. This campground is highly recommended. Can't wait to go back.
