He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree in 1996 at the National Yang-Ming University School of Dentistry in Taipei, Taiwan and received advanced education in Prosthodontics and a specialty certificate from the University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston, Texas.
