Dr. Sameh Ahmed spent parts of his childhood growing up both in Houston and overseas in the United Arab Emirates. In 2006, Dr. Ahmed graduated with a BA in biology from the University of Texas at Austin. He continued his dental education in San Antonio, where he received his dental degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio in 2011.
The first "regular" dental visit should be no later than your child's first birthday. We will gently examine your child's teeth and gums. X-rays may be taken to reveal decay and check on the progress of your child's permanent teeth under the gums. We may clean your child's teeth and apply topical fluoride to help protect the teeth against decay.

My 7 year old went in for a cleaning and he’s always been really nervous at the dentist. But Dr. Shau and his assistant made my son feel really at ease. My son also had to go back for some dental work as well, and Dr. Shau explained and walked my son through everything. My son did very well than I expected. Thanks to Dr Shau and his team!

I was extremely pleased!! My 9yo and 11yo had a teeth cleaning today, and my 9yo gets more nervous. They were so patient, and kind with her! I am beyond pleased with this place! And when my 9yo saw the dentist he was so patient and took his time to gain her trust and before it was over she loved Dr. Shau.

Dr. Shau is very kind and caring. He has special knack for dealing kids and exceptional knowledge. He helped our daughter with outstanding quality dental care. Dr. Shau eased her fears about dental procedures by explaining in simple words that kids can understand. Everyone in his office, front office, nurses and assistants are so wonderful, helpful, and friendly. They make us feel so welcome and treat like their family.

Great experience today here for my 2.5 year old, and I!
We are a military family, and live in California, but come back to this area to visit family. I wanted to get her seen here for an appointment, and they got my daughter in very fast. I also had to reschedule the appt twice, and both times they gave her an appt that fit our needs. This was my daughter's first dentist appointment. My children has been going here for many years now and I've had encountered one issue with them but it was taken care off in a professional manner. Staff is friendly has a lot of patience with children. It is always clean. They are very flexible with appointments too. I really appreciate the appointment reminders.
