Scott A. Bailey is president of Berks Septic Service and its sister company, Bailey's Inspection Services. Scott is the son of Les Bailey, the grandson of John Bailey and the great-grandson of Morris Bailey, the founder of Bailey's Septic Service in 1935. Scott is the 4th generation in the Bailey family to provide septic services to Berks County and southeastern Pennsylvania.
After Scott graduated from Schuylkill Valley High School in Leesport, he carried a double major at the University of Pittsburgh before coming back home to Berks County to start his own business. Scott says, The septic service business came very naturally to me; my family has been in this business since 1935 and my first job as a teenager was helping to pump septic tanks, holding tanks and cesspools.

Services
At Scott Bailey's Berks Septic Service we take pride in providing professional, prompt, friendly and affordable septic system services. Pumping septic tanks and holding tanks is just part of what we do. In addition to our pump services, we also perform expert septic inspections, maintain and repair residential septic systems including the installations of risers, and we accurately diagnose the causes of any septic and sewage problems.
With every pumping service, our technicians also evaluate your system for existing or potential problems. We don't just pump and run! We check for things like the flow of liquid through the building sewer, the condition of the inspection port and access to the septic tank, and the presence of any tree roots that might interfere with the function of the septic system.
Here are pictures of a few typical septic tank lids found in Berks County, PA. Some lids are already exposed at ground level, which is excellent because our technicians have easy access and are be able to see what they are doing when they pump. When lids are exposed, our technicians can simply open the lid and pump.
BioFORCE comes in convenient, pre-measured, water-soluble packets for use in septic tanks, grease traps, holding tanks, lift stations and sewer lines. BioFORCE is a live bacteria product that effectively degrades organic waste solids and grease to promote proper system functioning and eliminate odors.
Septic alarms are an urgent warning that something is wrong in the pump tank (also called the dose tank). What is a pump tank? Pump tanks are typically only several hundred gallons, which is much smaller than your septic tank. After the solids have settled to the bottom of your septic tank, the remaining relatively clean water in the septic tank, called effluent, is ready to be returned to the environment.

Had previously used this company without issue. Called on 1/17 to schedule septic pumping due to tank backing up. First available appointment was 2/2. I scheduled that time but was able to find another company to come out quicker. Called to cancel Bailey's.
On 2/2, I got a phone call asking about my driveway conditions at 10:34am, I called back at 11 to tell them I had canceled the appointment. I arrived home at 11:15 to the owner telling me he would back fill my septic and not charge me because he didn't get notice that I canceled. He asked if I had cameras to prove that he was there, started

Scott and his team have gone above and beyond to help us. When I bought my house, I was very uninformed about septic systems. With my first call, they walked me through how my system works, never rushed me off the phone. We had an abnormal problem with interesting obsticals, but they kept working with us, to get through it and get our problems resolved. I would 1000x recommend Scott and his company to everyone looking for septic service.

We worked with Scott from Bailey's Septic and couldn't be happier with the service. He performed a septic system inspection for a house we were hoping to purchase. He talked us through every aspect of the inspection. He was patient, very pleasant and easy to talk to, but also very professional and knowledgeable. He went in depth and produced a very thorough inspection that we found extremely helpful. It was a pleasure working with Scott, and I would highly recommend this company. Thanks Scott!
