Originally from Fukuoka, Japan Aki has had a passion specifically for Harley Davidson motorcycles since he was a young man. His desire to work on motorcycles brought him to the U.S. in 1995 and 3 years later he attended and graduated from the Motorcycle Mechanic Institute in the Summer of 1999 as a Certified Technician in Harley Davidson, Early and Late Model Rebuild & Performance.

I brought my Harley 883 sportster in after replacing my battery, because it had been sitting for over a year in my garage. Just a little background info; I'm not a very experienced rider and don't know too much about motorcycles. Aki was very helpful and informative from the minute I called. I left it with him to take a look and get to me with an estimate. He let me know everything that he recommended I take care before actually starting any work. He kept me updated with everything he was doing and anything else he found. I've never had a smoother ride! Will definitely be back for

I've had my bike worked on at a few different shops over the years and Aki has fixed everything the other shops messed up.
He goes the extra mile and makes sure everything is in order and working correctly. If it isn't, he'll bring up all of the different options instead of just giving you one answer. From swapping out handlebars to having precise motor work done, Hogkillers is my main shop.

Jesse James of West Coast Choppers once told me Aki Sakamoto was "the best mechanic he ever had at the Long Beach shop." I couldn't agree more.
