Our beautiful Victorian home built around 1860 has served Highland Park and the surrounding communities since 1949. The first mayor of Highland Park, James Archer, lived in this building in 1905. Our roots began as the Jaqui Funeral Home located at 114 Raritan Avenue, Highland Park in 1933. The Jaqui-Kuhn Funeral Home is an independently family owned and operated funeral home.
The manager, Daniel Simone, and his wife, Jacqueline reside nearby the business giving families that extra personal touch in every thing we do. We are proud of the quality service and personal attention we offer to each and every family. We have and always will endeavor to meet our families needs by maintaining the highest ethical standards while being sensitive to the changing needs of the communities in which we are privileged enough to serve.

Services
In 1933, William H. Jaqui, (a Jamesburg native) the original founder of the Jaqui Funeral Home, opened a location at 114 Raritan Avenue in Highland Park. With the desire to have a more spacious and home like atmosphere, he purchased the current location at 17 South Adelaide Avenue in 1949, and obtained a variance to operate the business in a residential neighborhood.
At Jaqui-Kuhn Funeral Home, we take great pride in caring for our families, and will work tirelessly to provide you with a beautiful, lasting tribute to your loved one. In addition to the services we offer, you will receive an online memorial that you can share with family and friends. While honoring your loved one is our top priority, we also want to help you through this difficult time.
When planning a service, you have many options available to you and we will do all that we can to provide a beautiful and respectful ceremony. No matter your choice, we can offer you a space to join with family and friends in grief, comfort and love. And above all, we will do our utmost to honor your loved one.
Our staff is comprised of dedicated and licensed professionals with the experience to answer all your questions regarding our services. Please feel free to contact any of our staff members at any time. Dan was born in Jersey City, NJ and raised in Hoboken, NJ. At an early age, Dan's grandfather died and it was shortly after that time that he made the decision to answer the calling of becoming a funeral director.
The Jaqui-Kuhn Funeral Home strongly believes in assisting families following their loss. We provide a four-book series appropriately titled The Continuing Care Series published by Doug Manning of the In-Sight Institute. It is a series of bereavement books mailed to each family periodically during the first year following their loss.

We lost my father in law recently. Danny the funeral director did a wonderful job making my wife feel at ease.
He took care of everything for us. Danny was very responsive, transparent, worked within our budget and of course truly empathetic.
My family was very fortunate to have Danny and his team help us during this difficult time.
