Love, love, LOVE the hair goddesses at RPZL! I have had the pleasure of experiencing this gem twice for extensions (once for keratin and again for tape ins) and believe me, you won't be disappointed! I got clip in extensions and a blowout. This was my first time here and it was a great one.

When I'm in NY, I don't carry products. I get blowouts instead. I'm high maintenance like that. I've used RPLZ twice now since my regular spot closed due to covid.

It's a new location. It's directly next to Sephora. -That's convenient. You have to get buzzed in and then take the elevator up. It's a new space and it's quite nice.

They offer many packages depending on your hair. A basic blowout takes 45 min and is $55. Well worth it to me. Who wants to be on vacation with basic hair? Not me.

Purchased a Blowdry package which under the guise of Covid they're not letting me use.

Great stylists but the owner doesn't know how to do client management.

I'm having to right the money I spent on the package off and won't be returning. Don't have these issues with other salons who are grateful for the business.

I had a lovely, efficient, and no nonsense blowout here a few months ago.

The place is very white which gives the impression of cleanliness. It's got that white with fur type of vibe.

I was able to get in and out in less than an hour with curls that stayed most of the day which is impressive for my hair.

The online booking was easy also.

Update to my below, now about 2 years later, and I still
L-O-V-E RPZL, and I have to say, Mercedes is largely the reason for my accolades. I get consistently fantastic blowouts from her and I visit based on her schedule. She's simply the best...! Old review: I pooped into RPZL (with an appointment, of course) yesterday, and got a fantastic blowout by Jeannea (I hope I spelled her name correctly.) The only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars was because they charge a 3.5% surcharge for using a credit card- kinda strange considering that that's how 90% of your clients are going to pay... Charlie

This place was a strong 5 stars until they moved to their new location - now within a different hair salon. It's still great - but I just preferred the original location. I also liked the products at the old spot better, but whatevs. I'm still a huge fan and will continue to go back for blow outs often.

Dori & Stephanie = the best. I have a LOT of long, thick hair, and both of them can give me an epic blow out in 30 mins or less. Great things they do that all blow out spots should copy:

- Appts available for 7am = genius. Nothing feels better than a blow out before work.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM!! I ordered $350 extensions and they never sent them and I have been calling every day for over 2 months now for them to refund the money they took from me and they have yet to do it. They are shielding my phone calls and not returning my voicemails. I called 10 times in one day and they didn’t answer a single call or they hang up when I say who it is. They basically stole $350 from me.

Giving this place a 5 star because of Margarita! She was so kind and my hair looked perfect. Will plan on making an appointment with her when I return to NYC.

One thing I found frustrating was the place was a bit hard to find and the receptionist wasn't very helpful. It's inside another hair salon they share a space with and that should be noted more clearly on any of their 100 appointment reminder emails/texts they send out. When asked for directions I was told there's a Sephora close by.. not exactly useful considering you need to go to an unmarked door and buzz the 2nd floor

Unassuming spot that knows how to make extensions look amazing! I've gone a few times and each time I look better than the last. Extensions look soft and natural and gorgeous.

Spot is hard to find - it's on the second floor of the building, so don't expect to see a salon on the ground floor when you get there.

Karina attended to me. She listened to what I wanted, she gave me suggestions, she explained the process, she was super kind and friendly. The staff were very cordial as well. The location is easy to get to and the room itself is spotless and stylish. Great experience and amazing customer service.

Tried this salon out for a standard blowout with loose curls. For $50 (a premium price vs. Drybar or Glamsquad), the experience wasn't worth the extra $$.

RPZL shares a space with Warren Tricomi, and that caused confusion on the floor. It felt like the RPZL staff didn't know if they could use certain products on my hair because they were owned by WT. For example, my stylist disappeared into the back room for 5+ minutes just to find mousse to use on me. At the end of the blowout, I didn't get enough hair spray at ALL despite asking. I actually went over to a different stylist and

Would definitely not recommend for tape in Remy human hair extensions :( especially if you have naturally straight and healthy hair. I loved my extensions on the day they were done after an extensive blow dry and application (they seemed soft and straight and perfect) but after the first wash they dried completely frizzy with split ends that did not match my natural hair at all. I went back to show them and they said that ALL of their extensions are "textured" (...no its frizz) and I should just use expensive antifrizz products or frequently get blow dry or straighten my hair. Definitely not worth

I’m sorry I can’t put in zero stars. When I came in I was told that they’ve made some sort of mistake with the scheduling and I’d have to wait. I waited for over 30 minutes for my appointment! The reception girl kept saying that it’s not her fault (but could she call me when she found out the stylist will be late and let me know before I came in? Of course she could do it is her fault!) Then the stylish showed up and of course she was so stressed and was rushing and ended up doing a mediocre job. And I paid the full price for this! This is not the way to treat a long time customer. I've been going to RPZL for about 3 years, and couldn't be happier about how my hair looks and how well the extensions hold up. They've given me amazing volume, length, (my real hair is also finally growing!) and hold style longer than my natural hair ever would, and most importantly, RPZL does it at much more affordable price than other NYC stylists.

Janeaa is my go-to stylist who is the best and consistently has amazing placement, is incredibly efficient, and she styles them so natural to my real hair. The price tag (especially if they have a promotion going on at the time) is

RPZL is a religious stop for me. With the many blow dry bars out there it's tough to find one that treats you like more than just a number - RPZL really cares about its clients. The front desk staff is always pleasant to schedule with and the stylists are great. My personal favorites are Steph and Margherita - they are amazing!

Bonus: they just moved to a beautiful bright new location sharing a space with Warren Tricomi on 5th ave.

They cut and styled my hair exactly how I wanted, which is super rare. I am very happy with the work he did. It isn’t a cheap haircut, but is totally worth it, especially if you are looking for a significant change.

Stephanie gives a damn good blowout and in under 30 minutes which is even better! My hair tends to be impossible to curl, but she managed to get it to stay for the entire day, making it flawless for my photo shoot a few hours later. Thanks again for the speedy service Stephanie!

UPDATE: Once again these ladies killed it on my wedding day. Not only did my hair look stunning, but the curls stayed in on an incredibly muggy and rainy day running all around Manhattan.

I came here for a regular blowout on a Friday after work and it was ahhh-mazing!
I was searching for an alternative to the Dry Bar since the last few times I've been there I haven't been pleased (on many levels - product, customer service). This place was close to where I lived and seemed really cool so I gave it a shot. I loved!

The space is gorgeous - sleek and open. Everything was great all around - reception, consultation, and the final result! I wanted looser casual/beachy curls and I felt like my stylist really listened to me. I wish I could remember her name because she was fantastic

My advice is to not come to RPZL for extensions if you have platinum hair color. They will not be able to match your color and send you out the door with the wrong color, telling you to tone the extensions yourself.

I have heard about this place, so I went to book an appointment to see that they had a Groupon for extensions and a blowout. I decided why not, I was in the market for extensions anyways and thought it would be great to actually get a professional color match me rather than take a guess on the internet.

When I called the front desk to make an appointment to ensure they knew I had

As I've wanted to wait to update my review so I really learn about RPZL and everyone that worked there. And I absolutely love it here. In my previous review I showed my clip in extensions which I still have and they are just amazing! But I fell I love with long hair and just wanted something a little more long lasting so I got tape in extensions. WOW I love them so much the feeling of having long hair and not having to take it out for 6 weeks is amazing. I have my tape ins for 2 months and then they started to come lose and I retapped one more time and that time lasted about 6-7 weeks. I just

Absolutely amazing! I discovered RPZL when I was opting to put extensions in for the fall, and am so impressed by their cutting edge technology, and revolutionary idea to create a "walk-in extension" bar. From the moment I called to discuss my options, Doug was more than helpful. I selected the "ultrasound" bonding option, with real Virgin Remy Hair. This is the newest technology on the market, and the application through ultrasound is healthier for your hair and causes less damage. While my extensions were a small fortune - $1,500, this is because they are real and completely

Another blowout place to add to the list of salons, along with Dry Bar, Dream Dry, B Dry, and on and on.

The location, being that it's new, is quite beautiful, spacious, with lots of mirrors, cool lighting, the whole bit. This one differentiates itself from the others by offering hair extension options.

I came here for a blow out and clarifying hair treatment. The stylist rubbed some kind of cream in my hair that had a cooling sensation and did a head massage, which felt very nice. Only wish it had lasted longer! I didn't much enjoy the shampoo she did afterwards. I'm pretty sure

I've come to RPZL a few times at the recommendation of a friend. The service is unmatched.

I am a brown girl wth natural hair, who has no business getting my hair blown out but the level of care I receive from Sammy, Sandy and Jannea is why I keep coming back. They are friendly, delicate and are always willing to: detangle my hair even when at the Bob Marley default setting, explain the products they select and their own personal method and most importantly... give me champagne!

My dear friend swears by Sammy. She
