Services
When death occurs, it can be a time of great sorrow. You will need help with important decisions that must be made. You will need answers to questions that are not so obviously present. Whether you are planning a traditional funeral ritual, cremation, memorial service, graveside service, national or international shipping / receiving of human remains; we will take special care and assist you with even the smallest of detail.
When it comes to your final arrangements, shouldn't you make the decisions? The arrangements you make will reflect your exact wishes and desires. Pre-arranging your own service will help to ease the burden of your loved ones. It will also alleviate any questions, problems or differences, which can occur among family members.
The basic Military Funeral Honors (MFH) ceremony consists of the folding and presentation of the United States flag to the veterans' family and the playing of Taps. The ceremony is performed by a funeral honors detail consisting of at least two members of the Armed Forces. The Funeral Honors rendered to you or your veteran will be determined by the status of the veteran.
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) furnishes upon request, at no charge to the applicant, a Government headstone or marker for the unmarked grave of any deceased eligible veteran in any cemetery around the world, regardless of their date of death. When the grave is already marked, applicants will have the option to apply for either a traditional headstone or marker, or a new device (available spring 2009).

If there were a way to select a 1000 stars that would be my selection. I was in need of serious help to making arrangements for my best friend and better half of over 30 years. After trying to contact another funeral home for over a hour and a half sitting in front of their place of business and leaving messages, as of right now 4 days later I still haven't gotten a call. After contacting my family funeral home in Va. they took care of it by having me contacting Wiseman. All I can say from that was WOW and OMG. God is so good. Speaking with Michelle set me at ease. When I went there to make arrangements

I would love to be able to give the Wiseman Funeral Home more stars. They are a phenomenal team of people who genuinely care about your loved ones arrangements. My family has used their services twice. Once for my grandmother a few years back & the other most recently for my father. They always have the upmost level of professionalism, yet still able to laugh and joke with them even during hard times like this. Which for me is something I personally needed. They are always willing to work with you & your budget. Plus, they answer any and all questions you may have regarding the process or even

Wiseman Funeral Home is absolutely on it when pertaining to professionalism.
These are heart felt hardworking and reliable individuals that sympathize with your feelings. They ask what else can they do to make things as comfortable for you in your time of need.
Not only that Mrs.Michelle talks with you one on one and reaches out to check on you. My sister loss her husband and at very short notice they worked as a team and got the job done!

There are no words that can describe the heartfelt gratitude and high regards that I have for the Wiseman Funeral Home and staff. The pain of losing a Son, a Father, a Brother can seem unbearable alone. Your staff help ease the pain during my brother's funeral arrangements.
Michelle and Lisa were very responsive, courteous and sympathetic through the entire process. Your process is a model that should be deployed in the industry. On behalf of my Niece (an only child), my Mom and the entire family, thanks for being a beacon of light during some of our darkest days. - Terry Tyson

On December 20, 2017 my life significantly changed. My father peacefully entered into rest. Though he had been challenged for a little while, one is hardly ever fully prepared for the passing of a loved one: especially a parent. In those moments, we are most vulnerable and sensitive and require delicate handling. I thank Wiseman Funeral Home staff for delicately handling us through the process of preparing to lay my father, Robert H. Brock-Smith, Sr. to rest. They were accessible and responsive and they were accommodating. We were pleased with their service and their attentiveness. I would recommend

I experienced the passing of my beloved mother and beloved sister within 6 months of each other, when all of my life the thought of missing one of them was unfathomable! The streamlined care and professionalism of the Wiseman Funeral Home made such a difference in my experience. I experienced such a relief of stress because they took care of everything without a hitch. I was so comfortable with their service that I only needed to be present with my family and friends. I have ALREADY set up my own arrangements with Wiseman Funeral Homes, and even that has given me a peace of mind. Thank you Michelle
