I just returned from a week's stay at the Colonial Motel (November 2020). The Host and Hostess, Dan and Nancy, went above and beyond the call of duty when I awoke to colder temperatures (22°), snow and ice on the day I was to depart. Dan cleaned the snow off my car, helped load my bags, put down salt and cleared the driveways to make sure I got on my way without incident. The cottage I stayed in, with full kitchenette, was perfect; beautifully updated, warm and cozy. The bed was awesome! Nancy's parting gifts were an extra special surprise. We enjoyed our two night stay at this rustic, 1960s style motel on the shores of a beautiful lake in the Finger Lakes region of New York. The owners and managers are great and friendly people. The rooms have kitchenettes and there is a place to barbecue and mingle in the front. Certainly much different than the newer more modern chain motels, but definitely well worth it if you want to secluded and fun location.

Good clean rooms for a very affordable rate. Inn keepers are gracious and knowledgeable about the area. We had the whole top floor of the one building and enjoyed every minute of our stay. It is NOT the 4 seasons so don't expect it. I would definitely recommend and will be back. I must mention though, there are photos on Google's website that have a picture of a table with wine outdoors near the lake and another of a dock with someone fishing. This motel has no lake access.
