A year at Everest provides more than just a chance to learn English fluently. It's a priceless opportunity for your child to gain independence, experience a new culture, and create lifelong friendships, as they grow academically and spiritually. Teachers are specifically trained in mixed-language classroom instruction.
At Everest, you'll find a place that is grounded in, and genuinely embraces, the tenets and traditions of the Catholic faith. On our campus, the active presence of priests and consecrated women, and the daily opportunity to participate in the sacraments of Eucharist and Reconciliation, encourage your child to develop an active, personal relationship with Christ in order to discover their unique and personal mission.
Everest works with Oak International to manage the admissions process for all school-year and camp students. Everest welcomes applications from boys and girls entering grades 6-11. Completing the application package does not guarantee admission. Students are not considered accepted until the Skype interview is complete, an acceptance letter is issued, and the full deposit is received.
At the very heart of how we fulfill our mission at Everest is the process of Integral Formation, which is the educational philosophy utilized in both the high school and the academy. From kindergarten through high school, Everest students are taught a deep understanding of the Catholic faith through a strong religion/theology curriculum.

I attended Everest Academy for several years. The school is operated by the Legion of Christ, who push a particular form of “fundamentalist Catholicism” for lack of a better term. We were taught things like Biblical literalism (e.g. young earth creationism) and mysticism (e.g. if you look at a communion wafer under a microscope you will literally see human cells) that are contrary to official Roman Catholic teaching.
The most problematic consequence of this ideology is the segregation of boys and girls into separate classes starting with the 3rd grade. This outdated practice fails to equip

Everest Academy and Collegiate is a hidden gem in Oakland County. You will find excellent academics and faith-based values. Most importantly, though, the teachers, coaches, and administration CARE about the well being and growth of the students. In addition, there is no lack of extracurricular activities with an impressive number of sports, clubs, and drama. All schools have pros and cons, but if you are looking for a school offering a well-rounded experience in a caring environment, look no further.

We transfered our daughter here from another private school in the area. Both had superior academic qualifications for Ivy league and tier 1 collegiate acceptance, but she has excelled and grown so much here. This school has the right balance of traditional learning, 21st century learning and the faith based component. I HIGHLY recommend that you look at this school and evaluate is against the other big name schools in the area. You will be amazed at what you find at Everest Collegiate.
